I don't agree with everything dr Umar says but he got a point about IEP, special ed, ect. I went to a predominantly white school and my class, class of '98, was the first class that mandated that we pass the Ohio Profiency test in order to get a high school diploma. Students in the general classes were hit the most. They would finish high school but not pass the test, so they would get a "certificate of completion." So, that means that they didnt have a high school diploma. They couldn't even go college. At least if you had a low gpa but a hs diploma, you can go to community college or a state college and theyll put you in a program to get that gpa up and go into your program that way. Most of those in the "general classes" were black.

I have watched this behavior in pastors. And just before the other brother jumped in with the information withholding, I was at that moment thinking that thought. I personally and seriously am concerned about giving and turning things and power over to the youth of today. Before turning anything over to them they need to be mentored and inclined for the role to be assumed. Their head has to be fully in the game or feet on that path. Too many young people are wreckless today, emotionally unfit for service. But I agree with the Dr. so many people in our community are power hungry, but totally uneffective in service. Churches are full of the uneffective office holders and so is our political leadership it's just power to have power.
