Stick your key in your pocket. 🙄
ОтветитьAm I the only one who calls the Scala as SKODA A3
ОтветитьI've got the previous car.. "The Rapid Spaceback " . And I love it. Yes its definitely a HATCHBACK...!!
ОтветитьWe went for the Kamiq to be our next family car, but this was a close contender
ОтветитьNobody ever mentions that you need a phone to play your own music, you cannot use a usb flash drive even with an adaptor to simply play music. I was ready to buy one but walked away due to this and bought the Seat Arona which has usb sockets. Glad I did cos I love it.
ОтветитьDid a test ride yesterday with 1.0 TSI 110 bhp engine. I thought it lacked power/torque, especially with accelerating and the clutch felt strange. Liked my Reanult 1.2 TCE 100 bhp engine better, smoother and quiker. The digital dashboard was a very nice feature and the Scala is very spacious.
ОтветитьBosseyed
Ответить….Estatchback
Estback?
Backstat?
…don’t know
Who would buy fabia over scala at the same price (both is 17k in Lithuania for the same 95hp engine).
I do not get the pricing here.
Can I trust 3 cylinder 1.0 engine?Is it reliable?
ОтветитьThat default lane assist would have to be removed if I owned a Scala. I had one in a van I once drove for work and it was unbelievably annoying, and I was having to disable it every time I started off, like about 30 times a day!
ОтветитьThe new 308 has a smaller boot than the scala
ОтветитьHow about just a big hatch?
ОтветитьYou can tell Matt's not a Skoda-type person, as if he were he'd feed the dash cam cable by the sun visor, feed it under the door seal and sit it under the door mat coming out by the charge point, simples...no accidents, no trips!
ОтветитьI have the "ancestor" of this car, which is the Rapid spaceback, quite the same car, basically.
Absolutely love it 😎
My grandfather has a scale. At first, it looks like golf but it has the platform from the VW polo that's why it is so cheap. Furthermore, my grandfather is very short and I have no idea how he is going to fill up the fluids when he tries to bring up de bonnet.
Ответитьreminds me of my Rapid Spaceback, kinda a hatch estate thing and that rear glass panel is very similar
ОтветитьThis or a Corolla, this looks better on every detail except reliability...
ОтветитьYou were smashing the same design features in kamiq, now all of a sudden same design seems stylish? whats up with that?
ОтветитьIs it just me, or does the grille look like a monobrow BMW?
ОтветитьIs iz hatc or estate? That's ibiza ST. Well it's not, it's Skoda. But they copied look of his sister....
ОтветитьThe way that he hand braked the car was hilarious I bet any body can do that
ОтветитьLooking like an Estate to me Mat. Loving the channel 👍
ОтветитьIn Russia this car Skoda Rapid, but only fastback
ОтветитьLooks estate
ОтветитьThis is a hatchstate! :)))
ОтветитьPlease thumbs up if you think also that traditional speedmeters are better then these, new, modern plexi-lcd ones.
It's more stylish.
no sense whatsoever having all these premium features on a family car, including 'sport' mode :D whyy?
ОтветитьCan somebody please tell what jacket he is wearing
ОтветитьNo, it's not. FAKE NEWS !
Ответитьskoda - simply clever
ОтветитьHe does not like the Brand.
ОтветитьŠkoda being "reasonably priced" used to be true, now less so.
I recently asked some dealerships for offers on stock Scalas. All I wanted was automatic air-co, alloy wheels, metallic paint and the 110hp petrol engine, the rest didn't matter.
Got back 27-29k €. Great, I said, so how much is the discount (usually Skoda gives huge discounts)?
"Oh, they are already included in the offer". The Skoda Scalas listed were 32-33 thousand euro listprice?!?! How is a Scala a 30+k car?!
A/C drains a considerable amount of power you might want to conserve for "sport" mode
ОтветитьFor £50 you can have a USB power socket on the rear-view mirror for your dash-cam
ОтветитьI've had Scala 1.5 tsi as a company car for a 8 months now. I've done 30 000 km in it and I have mixed feelings about it. Engine is great. 150 hp is more then enough, my consumption is 6.2 L over lifetime, and it is confy and quiet on the motorway. It is like tardis, so much space, infotament system is good and speakers are great. I can connect 2 phones on bt. I don't like seats and driving position. It took me weeks to find good driving position, clutch is strange, it's hard to make smooth getaway, line keep assist is annoying, front assist made me shit my pants few times by emergency braking randomly on a road. I have some weird combination od LED and HID lights and it is making my head explode when night driving and fuel tank is too small, I think it should be at least 65l and car is anything but sporty. As soon as you start to push it gets wobbly and understeery (my personal car is Giulia Qv so that can influence my driving experience)
ОтветитьThis car is a hatchback
ОтветитьI love all the little features and details! The umbrella in the door, the netting under the back shelf, the clip for parking tickets, the ice scraper in the fuel cap.... Skoda really made an effort with the Scala. Their slogan "simply clever" really fits here.
ОтветитьRented this car while in Europe. Someone broke the small rear window. From the inside you can pull down the rear seats & access the trunk. HORRIBLE DESIGN. Luckily all I had in the back was a bag of chips & the thieves left them behind. 🙃
ОтветитьI went to look at one today. It's a pretty dismal, dull, unimaginative thing. I guess it'll be popular as rentals and as the low tier company cars.
I decided to give this one a miss without test-driving it - I just couldn't see a reason to buy one as it neither nice enough to spend on or cheap enough to put up with.
A small estate
Ответить2022 wanted a Skoda Scala but the 12 month lead time was just too much of a wait.
ОтветитьIt's great value, and sunroof is a good option. I'd have it with the 1.5 tsi manual and the adjustable sport suspension. I reckon it would be pretty fun to drive. Throw a Racechip on it and that thing is making 180+ hp.
ОтветитьIt's hatchstate!!!
ОтветитьBe warned. This car has the rarest tyre size of any car I have ever seen. My flatmates tire popped because the lane control prevented him from swerving around a pothole, and there are literally no tires in the country that fit the size of the mag!!! He is very pissed off, and unhappy with Skoda.
ОтветитьI've been driving the Monte Carlo 1L for a few days now. Road noise is quite a bit higher than I was expecting, the gearbox in D can be a little dim-witted and that lane assist feature is super annoying, but it is a nice little car that gets a lot right.
Oh and it's a small estate!
I like the look of this but please for the love ogf god, can you atrt folding the rear seats down justy to see how much room there really is in the bootspace and tell us if the car comes with a proper spare wheel I find the lack of them now on cars to be a serious issue, other wise not a bad review.
ОтветитьNow I know carwow do car reviews for kids, because this guy is still doing them. They no doubt think he is hilarious.
ОтветитьSkoda is owned by VW group. Remember "Dieselgate?" I could never bring myself to buy a car from a convicted criminal group who have been fined billions of $ around the world. Not only that, but these car reviewers only ever talk about a car when it is new. Check the reliability surveys from "What Car" and others such as J. D. Power etc. Most European car brands are pathetically unreliable long term compared with Japanese Made vehicles. OK while the warranty lasts, after then move it on before it costs you. I guess that's why leasing is a viable option in UK and Europe.
