Animating in Different Frame Rates (FPS) - Lego Stop Motion

I tend to animate at 10 fps

For my stop motions I usually use about 6-8 fps

I Normally go for 12 but I think I’ll try 8 next time

I only make them in 12 fps

I am seeing AI bridging the gaps so to create smoother flow.

Im londs confused so to get get higher fps means moving more slowly amd more specific/small movements?

HAve oyu considered using something like Topaz Labs Video AI or FlowFrames to interpolate frames from 12 to 24?

In my newesr vids i use 9-14

It’s better to have a choppy animation than a fast and jittery animation

I prefer 8/10 fps

I shoot on 8s

Personally, 8FPS is great for me. It runs very well, and is easy to animate at.

This really helps me, I love the last one, 24fps looks amazing

Hey, really cool video! What apps are you using on your phone for this kind of work? I have something called OnionCam2 which I’ve only used briefly. And then what kind of software do you use for editing? Is it done on a PC?

Years ago I was going to go to university to do stop motion and special effects but in the end I chose a completely different career path. It’s always been something I like the idea of, but never really got back into it. Now having a bit more time I’d like to have a go but not really sure how or where to start.

I do 10fps so I can easily calculate the length of my videos only using simple math
