This Game Had Everything! (Viper vs DauT, TTL)

Just starting this game, and hearing how he came to be playing teutons I'm hoping he ends up playing a capey boy siege tower rush

Teutons have bracer in my tech tree.

I usually don’t have the patience to watch a game this long without fast forwarding, but my eyes were glued to the screen for every second. That was epic.

To Simeon's credit, I think I recall Teutons having Bracers too. Perhaps it was removed along or after the introduction of Crenelation ?

I've been following your stuff for awhile. This was a crackin' match. I loved seeing Viper's rag-tag Teuton army try and fight late game. He did the best with what he could do really.

I think its pretty easy to say that TheViper is the best current AoE 2 player, his tournament results definitely show that, but DauT's career has been super impressive.

This game was a punching match between the best two AoE 2 players in the world, and was an absolute treat to watch.

Daut scraped a win from the viper after being able to choose his civ...

Wow loved this game, so back and forth. Loved Daut’s tenacity and survival tactics, incredible how he played after the rough start

Poor vipi, he never tried even onager though.. I think that and some teut knights are really the death of meso civs

I believe Teutons were in Viper's draft, as his last pick. Otherwise would think Daut would have given him bengalis or burmese etc.

As a former 1k elo andy I hardly even notice the attack sounds :D

What is T90 talking about with Daut picking Teutons for Viper? I watched Viper's video and that definitely didn't happen. Viper drafted Teutons and picked them for Arabia saying, "I'm gonna go Teutons here.... I don't think too many people are gonna expect my Teutons pick here."

aoe4 will probably get there and as it is less micro intensive I think that Daut may have its place at the top there.

The guy commenting about bracer… my god how can you be so stubborn? Also Teutons didn’t have bracers even in Conquerors. You know if many people tell you that you’re wrong and show you proof, then you’re most likely wrong.

Teutonic knights even without elite would have been a better choice than the longswords he made near the end, but he only had one castle.

Ah, this game didn't have Daut Castle, nor Daut Micro (except the drush).

Honestly, I think there’s a moment in every game he plays where he sits back for a second and considers killing his entire pop so he can build a 200 scorpion death ball.

When you announced TTL I was like "Great! Let's see Daut get relegated." - Game 1 made me furious lol.

We need a timeline on the amount of TCs for each player from this game :D

Viper should have more hand cannoneers to counter eagle warriors. Also, he should have built more towers and castles and walls, to prevent his base from being counterattacked. Viper also should have focused on destroying castles and then killing catapults. Viper had lost so many production buildings, villagers and then mines.

just watched this, two of T90 bugbears by Viper, chopping stragglers and supplies, what up with that?

Go Daut! What a game. 1TC against The Viper and pulling out a victory!

Daut's loss of those 8 villagers early in the game was actually performed really well. He kept them alive for a couple of minutes while they were being chased by pretty much Viper's entire army, so Viper couldn't accomplish anything else with those units that entire time.
