This movie was much better without an indepth break down. Now it is just ruined to me because I just see it as vague propaganda now.

Makes sense why she handcuffed her in the beginning and she had them in for most of the movie.

If you’re going to make a video explaining the movie at least get the names right😂 He says the little boys name is Jordan, it’s Jason. And the "wolf mask." Come on man that’s Chewbacca

Backwards reverse racism. I like Jordan peele's movies, but he hates white people. He's the biggest racist of all times. His movies are great, but white people are not the problem in the black community, you guys do this to yourself.

i just finished watching this movie and all i’ve got to say is W O W
the amount of detail, foreshadowing and suspense in this film is crazy, i can’t really put into words how much i genuinely enjoyed this film, the message and the talent put into it all. this is why i now love Jordan Peele movies, can’t wait to see what comes next

I really enjoyed the movie. I did have some questions about some of the details, but the mystery of them for me actually adds to the creepy atmosphere & as such I enjoyed that aspect of it. To answer one of your questions concerning why Adelaide stayed in Santa Cruz, I believe she didn't Like you mentioned, the Tethered follows their copy, so Red followed Adelaide through the massive underground tunnels as described in the very first part of the movie detailing all the now forgotten tunnels under America.

@TheCRYSTALLURE
@TheCRYSTALLURE - 21.10.2023 09:53

I think the biggest thing here that was missed is Judgement. No one seems to tie in why the Jeremiah 11:11 biblical verse was the biggest foreshadowing clue the whole time. The “tethered” Addy aka Real Human Addy wanted to break the silence of the “good” humans the above world thinks they have walking amongst them when they call on God for what they have, how they treat others..all that. But like Zora had said at the beginning of the movie “no one cares the world is ending” what’s the biggest thing people feel the Bible foreshadows when it’s the end of times?? Basically a bunch of stuff that is deemed: devil-ish, the mark of the beast, atypical, famine, flood, fire etc… so with that Red/Real Addy had to make a plan to bust the bubble of sorts so the world can see they aren’t so good as they portray as there are literal other ‘humans’ trying to make it & survive w/ the means they know how. Also the easiest way to see this was that homeless guy literally holding his Jeremiah 11:11 sign, having it painted in blood on his skin.. he loves & breathed the end coming.

I’m sorry to ask you this but I really need help to find this movie cuz everyone won’t believe me that it was an actual movie the plot was a girl met a guy in the bar and she works as bartender and he went to her house and she has a plant that doesn’t need water nor sun then they fell in love and got pregnant but she miscarriage and got depressed and won’t talk to her husband for weeks and she told him in the car she was to be alone and left then he drove off and he got contaminated and turn in a zombie ish and she went to a house looking for food I thing but she heard something crawling in the ceiling but tried to shot it but left and she was driving I think she was out of gas and another car came by and tried to rape but I think she shot their car she then start driving away and the zombie followed her and she thought it was trying to harm her but she was wrong the sun was rising end she looked at his eyes and saw it was her husband who thought he died she then hugged him and she shot their head and died

While the twist in "Get Out" is absurd, it's still rooted in logic to a degree and is full of symbolism. "Us" on the other hand, focuses less on logic and relies much more on the symbolic.

I always thought it was interesting how, when “Adelaide” is telling her husband about the other girl when she was younger and how she’s afraid she’ll come for her, she doesn’t say why the girl would want to harm her. When you watch it the first time, it doesn’t really seem that significant, we just immediately assume the doppelgänger is evil so that’s why she’d come for her. But with the realization that “Adelaide” is actually a Tethered, we realize why. She’s genuinely afraid in that scene, afraid the real Adelaide is going to come for her to take back the life she stole.

This movie was fantastic in so many ways but I guess some people don't remember exactly what the mother's doppelgänger said in her monologue before their final fight because it makes the final twist impossible. Every single word implies the villian has consistently been the real doppelgänger and zero words imply they switched places. The girl who returned couldn't speak and the one implied to be the doppelgänger throughout the movie had a rough ability to speak, but both are explainable in more believable ways than "they traded places" and this is also the only shred of evidence that makes the ending believable. It's not abstract or anything, it literally just contridicts its own characters' words, behaviors, and the story itself. Every other aspect from beginning to end was S tier, but damn this ending really messed things up.
