I wish I could remeber the book, I was this random dinosaur book and in it was a picture of the aurthor, like black & white sketched, I think just embeded with the dinosure pictures just their on one page and the rest are normal picutres. It freaked me out and I think I hid that book in the couch
What!?
This is all grinch and gnome? I aunt watched them have a good night!
ОтветитьThank you for that call out to spirit, the trailer alone was a personal offense to my childhood.
ОтветитьHaha, hey, my wife is from El Salvador. Not very special but fun to meet others around.
Ответить"no one even remembers that one" ALIENS IN THE ATTIC? I HAD ON DVD
ОтветитьNever question a mad scientist 😅
ОтветитьDont you dare call Anastasia mid. That was a freaking masterpiece! :P
ОтветитьI remember Planet 51! That was the first movie I ever actively disliked!
ОтветитьHow dare you diss illumination like that . I love like all their movies lol
ОтветитьI had no idea Gnomeo and Juliette had a sequel.
I honestly enjoyed the first movie, and by what you mentioned I kinda want to watch the sequel. Lol
I learned about Planet 51 through a game manual for Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing.
ОтветитьI loved "We're Back" SO MUCH as a kid. It was like Jurassic Park for kids, imo.
ОтветитьSo, the accent is a conscious choice?
I respect that.
You have GREAT pronunciation. I would’ve never guessed you weren’t a native English speaker
ОтветитьI just want to mention the movie Valerian. I actually thought the movie was pretty alright, I definitely don't hate it, but DAMN that opening sequence was something else and stuck with me so much more than the rest of the film.
ОтветитьThere is one element of Planet 51 that stuck with me all these years, a simple yet clever joke: the fact that humans think the planet is lifeless because the rover was specifically programmed to only study rocks. I works as an excellent commentary on how experimental bias in science can lead to completely absurd conclusion without anybody realizing, and I'm not exagerating when I say that it kinda shaped my understanding and interest of how experimental science works
ОтветитьThis was actually rather enjoyable. You’re also a pretty fair critic!
ОтветитьI loovveddd the Croods for its creature design and colors, and disappointment doesn't even begin to describe the neon terrible creature design the second one gave me
ОтветитьI'm part of a Sherlock Holmes Discord, and the group concluded that Sherlock Gnomes is actually a decent Sherlock adaptation. I was super hesitant to watch it, but yeah!
Ответить"La creme de la merde" lol
ОтветитьI actually have kind of a soft spot for Planet 51, mostly because of the references to those old Sci-fi movies spawned from the whoo haa around Area 51.
but Rover being so obsessed with rocks to the point that its the whole reason why earth didn't know there was another planet full of life out in the galaxy because. Rover ONLY sent pictures of rocks and has a fight with the little alien bug-lizard thing over getting a clear picture/scan of the rock to the point that he just crushes it, and then later on gets bonked with a rolled up newspaper over just sending pictures of rocks.
same with Gomeo and Juliet and Sherlock gnomes, I guess I found them endearing, its dumb bland humor but its enjoyable dumb bland humor.
This is how I feel about both Happy Feet and Happy Feet 2. Talking about the Happy Feet franchise makes me go insane. I love the first movie's hints of speculative biology, worldbuilding, disability, queer themes and resistance. The second movie has a rendition of "Under Pressure" that I like more than the original! But that's it! It's a few good music segments and hints of something greater. Also, George Miller (yes, the Mad Max George Miller) said he would rather kill himself than come up with a storyline for another Happy Feet movie.
ОтветитьALIENS IN THE ATTIC! My whole family loves that movie!
ОтветитьMy dad took me to a coworker's party when I was like 9 years old. He told me to stay on the couch and watch 8 crazy nights while he wandered off and got drunk with his buddies. I thought it was stupid and disgusting at first. Some adults would walk in, surprised someone brought their kid and left them alone. However, I ultimately got sucked into it, and that duet scene still tears me up a little.
Ответитьi remember watching area 51 as a kid and being disappointed by it, and then people say kids have no standards and like whatever slop you show them
ОтветитьI liked the Mario movie as a whole. The scene where dk and Mario are fighting their way to the wedding is cool.
ОтветитьI disagree! Sherlock Gnomes is better than Planet 51. But, yeah. All are mediocre.
ОтветитьWhat species is Valentino? He looks cute!
ОтветитьAre you seriously gonna make me watch Sherlock Gnomes
But seriously, I appreciate your advice on what bits of these movies to check out! Thanks!
not an animation but babe: pig in the city has a few of these moments
Ответитьthe best adaptation of dr.suess' work is for sure the green eggs and ham animated series
ОтветитьDrr screw eyes went out like someone who pissed off granny weatherwax
ОтветитьJeez man did you even have a childhood. Gnomeo and Juliet was great. The Grinch was great. I dunno what you want from Illumination, a family animation studio, other than animated movies that are good and entertaining for families.
ОтветитьDon't even SPEAK on Gnomeo and Juliet, that was my childhood!!
ОтветитьHoly crap, that's The Neverhood OST at the end.
ОтветитьBackground music for the “We’re back” before professor screweye’s reveal is Creepy Castle from Rayman Legends ^___^
Ответитьidk if you want to take your cannel in the direction of doing animated shows too, but I think you doing a video essay on Avatar would go hard as fuck
ОтветитьNot animated but the lobster scene from Venom is something else.
ОтветитьGreat video as always. Really shows how really creative people can work in bad films
ОтветитьThat one satan scene from "adventures of Mark Twain" was really good for the rest of the mid movie
ОтветитьPlanet 51 doesn't have any right to stand any where near anything created by Dreamworks
ОтветитьAs an Australian, you can get in close proximity to me. I'm not dangerous. 🙂
ОтветитьDang i vaguely remember watching planet 51 on a laptop when i was little. All i remembered from it is a egg in a baby carrige or something
ОтветитьThis is like the 3rd video of me watching your content and just know it dawns on me who your bat reminds me of. Batty from Ferngully. Or, I guess as its also known as, the last rainforest? I'm still surprised you sound so British and you're from el Salvador.
ОтветитьI found this randomly in my recommended and honestly, I immediately latched on to your goofy personality! Subscribed!!
Ответитьidk what it is, but i fuckin love sherlock gnomes, its so funnnn, the characterization is very enjoyable
ОтветитьThe interesting thing about Professor Screweye's Death is that there was a deleted scene building up to it, where he exposit's his backstory to the dinosaurs. He apparently had a fear of crows since his childhood because one of them pecked his missing eye out. The reason he keeps them around in the circus was his own way of controlling the source of his trauma. It's honestly kind of a shame it was removed since it makes his demise that much more effective.
