Just bought Dailuaine 14 Adelphi. Can’t find many of them, let alone someone reviewing it. Lots more hair on you in this video too ;)
Ответитьi have the single cask 14 Y.O sherry cask at 59.8 % from james eadie ,,,, but saving it for a bit
ОтветитьI tried it, and it was delightful. As a member of SMWS, I jump on every bottling of Dailuaine I can see. It is a hidden treasure of Scotland, I prefer this distillery to be under the radar at the moment...
Mortlach is my favorite one, and the price are rocket jumping since last year on independent bottling unfortunately...
Smart move! Drink your mates first before opening your own! 👍😂😂
ОтветитьNice review Phil and I agree with your assessment of the distillery. I've never had this expression though. Cheers.
ОтветитьInteresting review. Knowing that you like Dailuaine, I was expecting a slightly higher score...
ОтветитьDailuaine produces great whisky and no one knows it! Shhhhhhh let's keep it to ourselves so prices don't skyrocket. I've had this expression and I like it a bunch. Thanks for the review.
ОтветитьPhil, this is a new one on me. The colour looks amazing and it looks somewhat thick in the glass as you drink it. I will probably pass on this one, I have to many on my buy list already. Great review.
ОтветитьI tried the G&M Dailuaine 04 Connoisseurs Choice which I believe is vastly different in style to the Flora and Fauna bottling. It was like drinking a tarte au citron, amazing stuff. Also congrats on the pronunciation lol!
ОтветитьThanks for the review! Sounds like an interesting malt I'd like to try some day. Your description though regarding the 'modern pricing' must relate to the official 0.5l Mortlachs. There are still many IBs out there that can compete with the Dailuaine Flora & Fauna, and honestly, 80 EUR for a 16yo @43% abv. isn't a steal, either, wouldn't you agree? Keep up the good work!
ОтветитьIt would be great if we could get more of these independent bottlings here in British Columbia...
