FYI, they buy paydirt (sluice concentrates) and give a little to the tourists to pan. There IS gold in that creek, but it isn't as easy or abundant as the tour guides may lead you to believe. I live here...and I pan that creek...and I've talked with the guides.

step one wash the oils off of your hands cause if the oil from your hands gets in the gold the gold will float away.
