If you didn't sing soprano after sitting in the chair, I'd call that a win......
ОтветитьChairy wood 😂
ОтветитьHaha what a creative idea!
ОтветитьTongue and groove? Groove and groove? One could say that it's.... /groovy./
No, I won't see myself out.
Are you using your strong hand?
ОтветитьMaybe incorporate roller bearings so... nm you just mentioned ball bearings =P
ОтветитьThe best science is mad science. This is delightfully mad.
ОтветитьIt needs springs!
ОтветитьIt's still a fractal vice, but the only thing it clamps conforms to its surface, not the other way around.
Ответить👍 ...because i would have never thought you would have actually finished this crazy design, so thank you for the nice suprise!
Ответитьso you mean a bean bag?
ОтветитьBruh you got some bobby duke vibes in the beginning
ОтветитьI wonder if you could make the back a part of the bottom most curve, and then make it out of wood mostly. Add a spring, and you have a lighter...... rocking chair that is even more dangerous. maybe it pinches you as it launches you....
ОтветитьAwesome build
ОтветитьPoota q parriu ke complikson
ОтветитьNo intro!! 😢
Ответитьline 15 in that patent was my favorite... and i'd like to put my tongue in your groove.
ОтветитьMy boys ran for the hills when he sat down😂
ОтветитьNow we know why this is not a thing . So much material wasted for useless chair like this ... People realize a flat or clean surface is enough for a seat . And talking about economic point of view , and then also rubber, plastic , rope , leather , spring , suspended design , foam and all the design and material we know today enter the chat .
Ответитьcool project
ОтветитьPut wheels on the bottom for the extra Rolling, and also its heavy so easier to move atleast horizontally
ОтветитьEsses trem de fractal chair é chique, eu gosto.
Ответитьthis looks like a solution looking for a problem but also the design is ahead of the fabrication methods. we could probably get a 3d printed version that takes full advantage of printing the materials designed specifically for the application. 3D printed fabrics in place of wooden slats. yes not soft but could be used as the seat material and be more flexible
ОтветитьAhhh satisfyingly, over engineered.
I wonder what memory foam would be like in a chair?
Great job, but I can’t help it. To me, this contraption looks like an answer to the question „What would a deckchair designed by an Inquisitor look like?“. Scary stuff. 😬
ОтветитьA fractal vise, except it's for your butt...
ОтветитьOver engineered, overly complicated, impractical. . .in other words. . .PERFECT!
p.s. Those bearings need some Nutella!🤣
Fasten a strip of leather/fabric between each slat pair so they maybe jiggle less? 🤔
ОтветитьI feel like the wood should be close to the pivot point of the smallest semi circle, where the steel rods are
it would make them not over rotate
Wow that's some neat engineering, and great presentation!
ОтветитьToo many steps to manufacture. Not economically feasible to make, except for yourself by hand.
Ответить72000 holes sounds like a RMI and a half
ОтветитьAll that work... Isn't that what a cushion is supposed to do? LOL
ОтветитьPerineum Biter 4000.
ОтветитьHmm, what if you upholstered the slats?🧐
ОтветитьAmazing design! I wonder if rounding the slats a bit more might make it a bit more comfortable. Or adding padding to the slats.
More slats is also something that might help, like having 12 instead of 8, but that would make it even heavier and more complicated to make so it might not be worth the effort.
I love the looks! Would adding cloth around the slats covering the gaps help with the comfort?
ОтветитьLol. Idk about this. Looks pinchy. Or am I wrong?
ОтветитьWhat if there's some sheet above it which is flexible but not stretchy ?
ОтветитьNice job Cornholio. Not sure how I missed this one. Maybe I was busy building a fractal lounge chair. Probably not though. Sorry to hear about the hernia, I've had two, because apparently, I'm way stronger than my groin area.
ОтветитьRubbing those fresh cut threads…. You get a lot of metal in your skin? Lol
ОтветитьNice chair, Cornholio!
ОтветитьSorry for your injury. Sick build dude!
ОтветитьThis was actually a little thought provoking. It would be interesting to look at other old, expired patents that didn't go anywhere and see if they could be functional and possibly modernized
Ответить
