#6...sit in the sweet spot. (after you carefully positioned your speakers).
ОтветитьYou should catalog your collection. Channel 33 Rpm has made a nice video!
ОтветитьLinks to each of the products mentioned would be nice.
Ответить2 mins of content spread out over 6 minutes. Why ... WHY! ... WHYYY!!!!!!!
ОтветитьCleaning and anti static is the very one thing you should have spent the most time on. There should be total silence coming from the record except for the recorded media.
Good maintenance of cleaned records. Cleaning the records is by far the hardest thing one has to do. So re-contaminating them by placing them back into dust laden jackets is as counterproductive as flipping the record onto a dust laden platter. The entire turntable needs to be treated for dust and static.
Thanks Captain Obvious!
ОтветитьI take it you like Llamas?
ОтветитьYou lost me when you said you could clean a stylus with a cloth!
ОтветитьI agree 100% about cleaning records increasing stylus life, it certainly increases record life by a huge degree
ОтветитьNot "upgrades".
It's basic maintenance and very much for beginners.
Blue Tack does not absorb energy. It may prevent your bookshelf speakers from being knocked off their stands.
Are you a meth head?
Place your turntable on a slab of granite
Ответитьif you want to use Blu-Tac.. under your speakers ok.. but it would be a good idea if you have a few ££s to buy 8 spikes with a threaded flat nut .. so that you can put the flat nut on the area that you are putting your speakers on .. then the spike pointing up to the bottom of you speakers.. this will then give you minimum contact to any area apart from the point on the spike..
Ответитьdon't ever handle an anti static brush like that. yours is already contaminated by the oils of your skin. just look how sticky the bristles look like.
ОтветитьDo not do not I repeat do not use a cloth to clean your styli you're cause permanent damage. No never use microfiber cloths to clean records or use any cloth to clean a record it will scratch the record and caused a lot of static build-up never use tap water over deionized water is the best mixed in with isopropanol99% 40% mix couple drops of anti frizz hair conditioner mix well always rinse your record after cleaning in a tupperware tub shake it in the water a few times leave to dry on a rack, best thing to clean a record is natural goats hair brush projects sell them fairly cheap, use a towel that hasn't been washed in the washing machine soak it with the deionise water first not dry.
Best to use a ball of Blu-Tack massage it put it next to the platter dip the styli before you put it on the record massage the ball beforehand well and now and again afterwards to keep it sticky green Emery should be used to polish your stylus as well.
Ideally the blue tack you want to keep it a sheet for the speakers in the centre this might take 2 sheets bookshelf speakers alternatively not as good have five blobs of blu tack about an inch thick balls not 2
Actually some big major hi-fi companies do you use blu tack in their products
