Ive always said one day, I will make my kid play football. It instills a certain work ethic and togetherness that most sports dont. It gave me all the friends that i still have today being 25. It also made me tough as nails and not afraid of any adversity i face.

Something a lot of people don't get. Having played football myself I know the long practices, the two-a-days in brutal heat. You bleed and sweat with these guys and they become like brothers regardless of their race or beliefs. So it makes all the sense in the world when the rest of the team engulfs them with joy over these announcements.

Can someone explain to me how many kids on the team are on full scholarship? The main team?

just for you guys who didn't know how it feels to get offered a scholarship:

so hi, im a guy who recently got a scholarship. and lemme tell you how it actually feels.
so first, right when you hear that you got offered a scholarship. your heart will beat really fast, and your moods will change to happy quickly.
then when you're home, your mom will hug you, really tight, and she cries of joy.
i also got depression, and when i hear the news that i got offered a scholarship, i was really happy. my tears is felling out of my eyes. and after that, i finally get rid of my depression.
and this is a day after the scholarship news, im still really happy. really really happy.
that was the best day of my life, knowing that someone needs me in a school. it felt like a dream. cuz i've never experienced that before.
there's only one word that i can say: you'll feel happiness for a long period.

The sad thing is this is "happy" for the USA. The fact is only the rich or people who get jobs that can afford a $200k bachelor degree say America is great. My first job after graduating? I live in Texas. $35k. Factory workers make more than that and I pay more per check than child support

I’m sorry but I don’t see why athletes get scholarships. That just doesn’t seem right to me. Colleges are supposed to be places for learning knowledge. And giving a jock a scholarship just because he can dunk a ball or catch a pass seems somehow wrong to me. So does paying college athletes on a scholarship. You gonna pay for this kids school AND pay him a wage? Meanwhile the poor science nerd who couldn’t get a scholarship because the jock got the last one has to go to community college. That’s just not right. Not at all.
