Not to be a contrarian here , but to be honest that pedal is ok, meaning I wasn't inspired enough to have a desire to purchase one.
Pete is an outstanding player and all but again , I just wasn't impressed.
I'm sure the pedal is ok, and would probably be very appreciated for anyone who's looking for a drive pedal with some bells and whistles. However, what I just heard here isn't exactly beyond average.
Again, I'm not putting the pedal down, I just didn't hear anything in this demo that sounded any better than a slew of other overdrive/distribution pedals.
This or Nabla 1987 v2? thanks, always very usefull videos. Great playing.
ОтветитьAwesome playing Pete!!
Great Sounding Pedal and Rig!!
You are an amazing Pete! one of the greatest in the Planet
Great playing and great sounding pedal! If this is in the Top 3 Marshall in a Box, I’d be curious to know what the other two in the top would be!
I’ve been through many MIAB pedals and some were great and some were just ok to me. I believe the Marshall Plexi of the 60’s and 70’s is the quintessential rock crunch sound.
Currently I have Origin Effects RevivalDrive Compact, Rockett Majestic, and Pettyjohn Gold MKII. Like I said…I love the Marshall Plexi sound! Thinking about getting this also!
Great, I repeat, Great rock star faces!
ОтветитьThis or the plexiranger in front of my early 70s Traynor YRM1 to function as a dirty channel?.......
ОтветитьHave you ever considered demoing the Theta Isp preamp distortion pedal?
ОтветитьThis pedal is MAGNIFICENT! Removed all other drives off my board.
Ответитьwhich one is better, bjfe dyna red or this one?
ОтветитьThe guy makes me want to buy stuff i dont need. Best product demos on the web.
ОтветитьAny comparisons to the RivivalDrive? Feel, touch, tone?
ОтветитьGreat pedal, great tones, great rock star faces during the solo, and great tangle of cords and cables under the desk, just like my recording desk.
ОтветитьNot only Pete is an Amazing player but he really makes the best reviews...
ОтветитьDo you have a place where we can buy or stream these video tracks?!?! I'd love to learn some of these killer solos you're throwing down.
ОтветитьWOW Lab L5 in the room ! Used to own two of those. Love the pedal demo too !
ОтветитьThanks Pete, got one and it just kills w/my Friedman's. The combo is perfect along with a TS style Joe B overdrive.
ОтветитьHoly Scheiza Minnelli! 🤘🏼 How does this treble boost compare with the Unit 67’s Treble Boost?
ОтветитьPete..you dont showed us the track with that blue strat w sgl coil..for me that is one best tone you got from the pedal
ОтветитьArrived tonight. Gonna take it for a spin tomorrow
ОтветитьBonjour Pete...this inspired by...pedal.....song must be on your next album!!your last one is running over an over since 1,5 year! And I have tones and tones CDs!! It reminds me " guitar shop" J.Beck album but with your sensibility, this kind of energized minor feeling! Thanks Monsieur!
ОтветитьI comented before here. Made a mistake on The Mad Professor Pedal that is very similar. I meant to day Mad Professor "Loud and Proud" not The "Super Black". So loud and Proud would be a good comparision Demo to compare with " The Engine". They are both based on a Marshall Circut and have the Rangemaster as a boost.
ОтветитьOn these guitars, any pedal looks like a marshall, ‘til metal zone! 🤪
ОтветитьHey Pete, if i connect this to the FX return of a Suhr Badger 18 would it take me to more high gain territory on that amp?
ОтветитьI wish I could afford a fleet of amps, I settled with the Mesa TC 100, it does a great 800 style sound, but I miss my 72 JMP 100, because it had this saggy openness, can I get that feeling with this preamp pedal putting this in front of my mesa? Thanks for your input.
ОтветитьThat Engine purrs like a kitten.
Also...can we talk about that pair of Christmas colored Suhr Strats??? Jesus dude.
Great demo. As usual!
ОтветитьPete's intro songs >>>>>>> most released music
ОтветитьHave you and Doug Rappaport collaborated ?
ОтветитьThis pedal suit you mr Pete.. your tone so glorious..
Fat brit sounds..❤
Goldentones!
ОтветитьThey must be paying you well. Sounds like all other SS gear Iv'e ever heard... flat and lifeless. Gobs of reverb and delay don't hide that.
ОтветитьForget the pedal...look at that tasty cAnDy APPLE ReD Suhr!
ОтветитьI was wondering if your actual pedalboard is composed by these pedals:
Drybell The engine (OD/PLEXI), Mooer radar/Torpedo cab m (CAB SIM), Soundblox Multiwave (Fuzz), Dunlop echoplex EP103 (Dirty delay), Drybell vibe machine (Mod), Drybell eq/comp, Strymon big sky (Reverb), Friedman Gold 72 (wah), Digitech Freqout, some noise gate, Diamond Vibrato (Mod 2), 2 Eventide H9 + EXP, a tuner, a double tracker, and a
Victory The Kraken (as a PREAMP)
Hello Pete! Love your videos, i've seen you live on Buenos Aires with Chris Cornell , maybe on 2007.
I was wondering if you conserve any of these pedales, since they sound really good or they are very practical: Mooer Radar, Carl Martin Plexitone, Soundblox Multiwave, MXR EVH 5150.
Also i was wondering if you tried Electro Harmonix Tube EQ (the wah wah function), and th Tech 21 XXL overdrive.
Awesome intro tune brother!!!!
ОтветитьHey Pete, thanks for your videos. I really appreciate your work.
ОтветитьTake my money!
ОтветитьAnother stunning intro. Please , please please, post something on how you approach constructing and record these demo's/intros. I'm sure that would be an extremely popular post :)
ОтветитьWow man I didn't know you but glad I did now, when I've listened to your playing I was instantly hooked and Im blasting PTII right now. Awesome! And you play Suhr like Ian Thornley who has one of my favourites tones. Cheers!
ОтветитьReminds me of Alex Lifeson/Rush kinda tones. EQ is well balanced. Not to woofy in the bass, not to bright. Lots of note definition in the chords.Sounds great.
ОтветитьHey Pete, can you do a video on the Earthquaker Devices Swiss Things? I’m curious to how a professional musician would use it.
ОтветитьI've noticed that in the beginning of the video, you have the Fryette Power Station!! How do you like the device? That is definitely on my "Bucket List", so maybe in the future, you could do a demo on it? Thanks Pete, and I love your demos!!
ОтветитьGreat tone. Now about that hair...
ОтветитьBox of rock bis ? ;)
ОтветитьNice!
ОтветитьDidn't want that track to end Pete, nice work!
ОтветитьPete do a side by side with your plexi. Use you suhr on a clean setting driven by this peddle and your plexi straight in and be fair.oh and I know the delay is a staple but leave it out please.
ОтветитьI'm not a peddle guy. That said I have tried a shitload of" pexi in a box" stomp peddles. Dirty little what.was the last and it was shit. I find the best way to sound like a plexi is to play a plexi. Yeah they are pricey but lucky for us there has been ten thousand copies. Many you can buy on the used market and some for the price of this peddle. Another way to get close to " the plexi tone" is to take the high gain amp that your playing already crank the volume and turn down the gain/ distortion. Same applies if you have a master volume crank that and turn down your volume. The those nobs on your guitar and on your amp that mess with tone....use them! I have five amps of different makers. I can grab any of them and get a good brown sound and play any gig using a swilly ped and a crybaby and be convincing to anything done on a lp and a sort of tele sound. Pete doesn't sound good because CV of his crap. He sounds good because he put in his 10,000 hours.

ОтветитьWhen do we get to see you use that Lab series L5 ?
