If you want full size pineapples be sure to plant your tops directly into the ground. Also, the “pups” or baby pineapple plants that will form on your plant will produce a pineapple in 1 year opposed to planting the top of a pineapple plant as it will take 2-3yrs for the fruit to form.

Banana peels in water will not break down to provide any benefit. Either compost them normally or fully dehydrate and turn them into powder.

I tried that with my Fruit Roll-Ups. It didn't work. 🙁

I can literally attest that you can grow them anywhere with proper care I have 3 growing in my apartment in NY and they are huge, it’s been about a year and a half so hopefully soon I’ll see something out of it if not it’s still a beautiful plant

Since it takes 2 years for the plant to produce a pineapple my plant would be to plant one every 6 months so that way in 2 years I will have a pineapple supply chain where I get one every 6 months

I’m sure some of these things grow I tried it with strawberry sliced thin layer off side and put in soil bit of water n covered with plastic water bottle and after few weeks nothing the I dug threw soil and it was completely gone and no sprout I will try something else all we have is time right

sir i also did the same one year happened just small roots came and also the leaves have spikes till now and also it is not growing and there is no change in it from when I kept to now no change happened can you give any advice pls

I've always heard NOT to water directly into the leaf crevices as that promotes rotting...🤔
Pineapples also like sandy/loamy soil, not regular old potting mix or soil.
