Life long Chicagoan here.
We do have a great city, but somehow we are governed by idiots. Hopefully someday soon we will be back to glory days.
Great video as usual Robert 👍
A police check point to enter the beach? .. not a good sign.
ОтветитьL'Ya Chicago.......See ya soon.......AGAIN.......
ОтветитьI love Chicago! You had perfect weather for July there, nice! Thanks for all the info and the great walking tour! This also makes me miss summer😮😂❤
Ответить21,000 step's, no wonder my feet hurt when I there in 1976. age 20..We walked all day from the McCormick to Sears Tower. It's still the most Beautiful city that I've ever seen.. Wonderful video!! I vote Yes a Train ride would be fun!
ОтветитьGreat tour of Chicago! Was glad you checked out Union Station. Yes, you should definitely take a long distance train trip, something I also need to do again. When I was in Chicago many years ago Union Station was the in between point on my long distance train trip. I had a few hours to explore some of the areas you visited. Another really good video and look forward one day to seeing you on the California Zephyr!
ОтветитьPhew… That’s a lot of steps! A walking tour of epic proportions… I am truly impressed and absolutely captivated by the beauty of this cityscape, what an effort to put this together. Love the bits of history, too. Excellent episode, and I imagine a ride on the Zephyr Train from this city would be amazing. Thank you, and bravo👏
ОтветитьHey! You have driven in Spain, Traveling Robert can travel now any where in the United States with a trailer and not get the "white knuckle syndrome"! We have confidence in YOU so go out there and tear up the roads; next time, visit Vietnam while pulling a trailer but please leave ur wife at home 😂 If you could do that in Vietnam u will be able to drive through any cities in the World, and you will probably get another 100,000 subscribers but do it safely cause we love you Robert!
ОтветитьGood video of chicago; we have done all those things. But wanted to give you a tip on the California Zephyr. We did do the CZ but from west to east to chicago. I think the best route is CZ from chicago to emeryville because of the Big 10 curve views west of denver and being able to see this climb into the Rockies during the daylight
ОтветитьThank you Robert, always love Chicago, such a beautiful city, my favourite in US, yes a must to do the Architectural Boat tour 👏🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
ОтветитьGeez! That ledge on the Willis Tower scared the crap out of me! I seriously had to look away from the screen! Aside from that, another great video, Robert. Thanks!
ОтветитьRobert I don't know if you've heard. Atlanta has approved what's called, The Stitch. It's app. 1 1/2 mile section of I85/I75 north downtown. From Atlantic Station south past Georgia Tech. The highway is going to be covered as a park like area with a couple of cross roads. Should be nice!
ОтветитьI like the train idea. They have trains with car carriers like ferries. Maybe they haul campers too...
ОтветитьYou are taking your life in your hands in Gary. Gotta be careful there.
Ответитьdowntown chicago is truly beautiful ......great video robert👍👍👍
Ответитьon weekends the south shore comuter trains stop at the mcormick st metra station. im not sure about metra trains and thier scedule . you can check it online. i do not recnomend walking . the nieghborhood is a little spotty and it would take a long time to walk to downtown from there. there might be a cta buss thay you can take on mlk drive to downtown as well . again the metra website would show you the routes.
ОтветитьArts, music, food, architecture, we have it all 🥰 thank you very much for visiting and appreciating this great city 👍
ОтветитьThe police have a real unquenchable thirst for revenue. The bag thing was all about catching people with alcohol or cannabis. Then, while they got ‘em tangled up in that, they do an active warrant search and make a lot of arrests. And the money just keeps on flowing.
ОтветитьWhere that Uber driver dropped you off, is where the Chicago Police ran rough shod over protesters during the 1968 Democratic Convention.
Ответитьyou should be grateful for the bag check, you never know now days, when some psycho path, want to gain attention, by the death of innocent people!
ОтветитьRobert, that’s an impressive walking tour you did! You really hit all the highlights. If you and Illy ever get a chance to check out a performance at the Civic Opera, I highly recommend the experience at this venue 😊
ОтветитьWe have a Lou Malnati's here in the Milwaukee area. It's good but my favorite is Giordano's. You get a really big salad if you order one.
ОтветитьChicago suits your style of camera work very well.
ОтветитьChicago 2.0, awesome video! by the way I will soon be there later this month. God willing.
ОтветитьFabulous tour of Chicago. We loved the architecture tours and boat tour several years ago. It was great to revisit the top spots with you. Thank you! Sandy & Fred
ОтветитьChecking bags for the beach is 100% UNCONSTITUTIONAL
ОтветитьNice video. My husband & I moved from the Chicago suburbs to southwest Florida in July. That was a wonderful tour of our old home. I cannot believe you walked nearly 15 miles!!! Next time you are in Chicago, I recommend visiting the Art Institute, one of the two world class zoos, and catching a game at Wrigley Field. Also, I recommend stopping for lunch at Dell Rhea's Chicken Basket on Rte 66. It is located in Willowbrook, our home for 35 years, and was featured in "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives." And the Rte 66 Museum in Pontiac, IL is outstanding.
ОтветитьLove the TRUMP TOWER behind you
ОтветитьChicago sucks. Those gangsters ride their cars on the white line. Hahaha.
Ответитьmy city
ОтветитьThanks for another awesome video Mr. Robert.👍👍🍻
Ответить❤
ОтветитьThe beauty of RV travel in North America. We can visit the lakes, the mountains, the prairies, the oceans and the big cities. Certainly would not want my RV travel to be exclusively to big cities, but we definitely enjoy including a couple of cities to explore every time we take and extended trip. Continued safe travels...
ОтветитьMy legs hurt from watching you walk so much. Wow!
ОтветитьMissed China town. And the Chicago famous underground area downtown by navy pier. The Billy goat tavern. Great beer and atmosphere. From Sat night live. Burger burger burger no Coke. One of the best old time feel
ОтветитьOn mag Mike al Capone green room next to the theatre where Dillinger was killed
ОтветитьI live in Ft Wayne In. I go to all the places you speak or. Gary. Chicago and Shipshewanna
ОтветитьGreat show Robert . I love going to Chicago . Man you put the steps in 😊
ОтветитьRobert, you opened my eyes to so many places where unexpected interesting travel spots. I’m a new follower and I cheapie Pelican for now. 👁️👁️👍
ОтветитьPersonally, I would never want to travel cross-country on Amtrak. I would rather drive and have the freedom to stop when and where I want to.
ОтветитьGuys pls watch a movie that looks like that silver sphere called flight of the navigator .5 stars
ОтветитьGreat adventure Robert!
ОтветитьI enjoy this Video, Chicago is a absolut great City, wonderfull views, very impressed
ОтветитьWhat a great journey you took your viewers especially me! Your photography is superb and you must be in great shape to walk so far. Great video.
ОтветитьWelcome to Chicago Robert. Personally, I’m very proud of our city, but I would never take my RV Downtown.
ОтветитьYou should do a route 66 tour on your spring or summer trip 2025.
ОтветитьI have been deep cleaning my house and closets and icky garage lol! I came on here to give this video a like, but tomorrow, I'm gonna treat myself to watching this on my tv to reward all my hard work on my house!
