Ragdolls are bred to be lap cats soooooo - the normal cat rules don't apply to them. LOL. My husband's mother inherited a ragdoll and she's in love. A very affectionate cat and great for an elderly person.

Looks like you got a rag doll - they're famous for being relaxed, calm, social and very easy going. There are cats who don't like to be held, and as they get older, sleep a lot of the day. But she's young so she'll be romping around and demanding play for many years to come. She's beautiful and you got a good one!

Yeah, people who have never owned a cat don’t know about cats they’re not anything like people that don’t have them say they are… and here’s a shock… just like people... Every cat is different.
I have had cats, my whole life I’ve had quiet cats, loud cats, absolutely obnoxious cats the sweetest cats, the meanest cats I’ve never in my life not love them well except for the one that attacked me and I mean viciously attacked me anyway, she did not fit into our house and had to find a new home And I had to get some stitches
That’s another story I’ve had over probably 30 to 50 cats in my life and I love them all
My cats also fetched the one I have currently does not, but she was an outdoor cat for many years(she had seven babies in my garage as a stray!) and I found all of them homes had her spayed, and now she is an indoor cat who refuses to go outside anymore ever for anything lol!! but I love her very much and she deserves the warmth of an indoor house after spending years outside

She is beautiful. She has a bunch of Siamese in her. I've had two female Siamese cats in my life, they both lived over 20 years and had personality plus. Best cats ever! They "talk" a lot.

LOL, the sneaking out is called single kitten syndrome, yes it's a thing! highly recommend metal litter boxes and Arm and hammer litter, I used both when I fostered and as long as I cleaned the box each week on time you would never know I had a kitten!!

Honey, I had 15 cats out in the woods. Now I have one cat and he loves my guy. He is in door/out door and we love across the street from a Catholic church and right behind a fire station. The lady who lives 2 blocks down has created his own little place with food, water, and a bed. His name is Sherman.

Ragdoll cats are not like most other cats. They are very much dog-like, as are Maine Coons.

Different cats have different personalities. I remember having a brown kitten when I was younger and she's super smart. I call her name and she would be running to see who called her. She was a kitten when I found her abandoned in a box with all her other siblings. I visited them everyday and asked my mum if I can take all of them home but my mum said that's too many of them. So I check on them everyday and each one of them would be "missing" then someone came to adopt one then I realised there were people adopting them. I just let them adopt the kittens until there's one left and I asked my mum if I can take the last one. She finally said yes then I brought the kitten home. I was about 6 years old and the kitten is about a month old. My family end up falling in love with her and we noticed how smart, curious and active she is. She would always want to play outside and when we call her name she would come back. After a few months of her running and playing outside, we lost her. She went too far and couldn't hear us calling out for her. We searched for her everywhere and we finally found her hidden in a hole. We brought her home and was so relieved to see her again then she ran away the second time. We searched for her everywhere and the places she went to but we couldn't find her at all. We shake a bottle of cat food/treats searching for her but she's no where to be found. I was so sad and devastated. We have other cats too but they weren't the same. Most cats don't know their name or come running when we call them. She's so special to me. Even after 30 years, I still think about her. I have pictures of her on my shoulders and how much she annoys me when I do my school work. I just miss her so much. Someone probably took her the second time. 😢
