The original cast were the best.
ОтветитьProbably one of the first….if not the first show to tackle what was still a fairly unheard of issue that was quietly creeping up all over the country. Groundbreaking
ОтветитьAddiction is a creul mistress!
ОтветитьIs there an actual drug rehab that specializes in doctors/nurses?
ОтветитьStill brings tears to my eyes, how much they really love and believe in him
ОтветитьI remember crying watching this air that first night. The true brotherly love between Carter and Benton so subtle but real.
ОтветитьI'm so glad the reboot wasn't another sitcom
ОтветитьI am 100% here for the Carter drama, but Luka looks so damn desolate in that last shot. He could use some hugs too. :(
ОтветитьThese are my favourite scenes in the entire series.
ОтветитьBenton wasn't letting Carter leave without getting into that van in one way or another.
ОтветитьBenton y Carter el mejor duo de la historia de las series de drama, y aunque sea increible en la vida real Benton es el creador de Chicago PD. 😂😂👏👏👏👏
Ответитьi love carter so so much :((
ОтветитьI think the punch to the face hurt Benton more than Carter.
ОтветитьMe encanta esta serie no me pierdo ningún capitulo
ОтветитьDoes anyone know the episode where Carter and Benton get into a heated argument about Carter changing his specialty from Surgery to Emergency Medicine? Benton had given Carter the cold shoulder for a good while, maybe even a few episodes, to the point where Carter confronts Benton at the EL station on the stairs. Benton opens up and says something to the affect, that Carter wasted Benton’s time… and that Benton NEVER invested that much time to help anyone, but he did for Carter. Which is why Benton was so hurt by that decision initially. I know it happened between seasons 3-4. Any help to identify this episode is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys 🙂
ОтветитьBenton and Carter the best bromance on ER
ОтветитьI've worked with countless doctors and surgeons in my career. One General Practitioner (GP) I worked with told me her job was so stressful, she smoked THC nearly every night. Many surgeons I knew either flirted with everyone outrageously, had affairs, or drank nearly every night. Pain killer addiction in the medical world is a huge problem. In my line of work, we've had top surgeons and doctors addicted - it's too easy to get narcotics and many times they can't cope without them. We see and deal with so many awful things - stuff you would never tell your family or closest friends - and we have many nightmares and sleepless nights.
ОтветитьI love this episode, went through a similar experience with a friend some years ago w/ addiction. Didn't take a punch, but the same emotions were there. Glad to say they've been clean/sober for over 2 decades now.
ОтветитьHappy birthday ming as deb jing mei chen for your 60 years and bring to an infinity to happiness and serenity from italian boy live in rome and I m fan of er
ОтветитьSome many great characters in this ensemble. This moment of pain for Dr.Carter to admit was beautifully played.👏
ОтветитьBension not saying a word he wanted ro deal with carter AND ONLY ALONE
ОтветитьWhy how does 💚🍏 get to decide how the game plans works
ОтветитьShe needs ro be jailed for almost killing someone as well
ОтветитьWell played by benton. Playing the "cousin" card at just the right moment. He knew carter would react with anger. And he also knew he'd eventually break down and finally accept his situation. Benton figured a punch to the face was a tiny price to pay to save carter.
ОтветитьNon vedevano l'ora di sbatterlo fuori era per il suo bene ma da colleghi
ОтветитьBenton was the big the big brother to john Carter loved him that was his student
ОтветитьBenton displays the best doctor.. every med student should watch this scene
ОтветитьThe brothery bromance between Eriq and Noah shines in their performances.
ОтветитьThis was Noah’s best acting scene on er in my opinion.
ОтветитьWait, Fentynal? He would have died. They needed better research on that one.
ОтветитьThe Benton character has most in number and degree of emotionally powerful scenes.
ОтветитьI wonder what would Susan say if she hear what Carter have been through. What would be her reaction. I bet that all that happened because she left the hospital. In my opinion, they should be together. Their characters had been written in a wrong way.
ОтветитьPeter Benton may have been rough on Carter at times, but he always cared about him
ОтветитьThe costuming in this scene is very telling. Mark, Deb, Weaver, and Anspaugh are all dressed as doctors, lab-coats/equipment etc, and they all speak in terms of what he could lose in his job/career. Benton is dressed as a “civilian”, and is the one who follows him as he tries to leave, and is the one who taps into a baser level of human feeling, which is why Carter lashes out and hits him. But also why Carter accepts his help.
Just a lovely detail in a very powerful scene.
Benton was Carter's big brother. I miss this show.
ОтветитьI felt his pain when he cried out.
ОтветитьIf I worked with Dr. Weaver, I would’ve wanted to resign as well
ОтветитьThey’re friendship was everything
ОтветитьI have watching in Italian this wonderful episode
ОтветитьToday is 23 years this episode airing on nbc thursday 18th may ,2000
ОтветитьWonderful scene from italian boy live in rome and I m fan of er
ОтветитьEven though I hated Benton so much the way he treated carter Benton finally revealed he cared for carter so much that he was not gonna let him ruin his own life over drugs
ОтветитьI love that Benton went with him.
ОтветитьI think what makes the intervention itself work so well is watching Benton gradually recognize that Carter does in fact have an addiction. He refused to believe it when told but watching this agitated, defensive, aggressive Carter swat away the others made it too real to ignore.
ОтветитьDr Benton (Eriq LeSalle) and Dr Carter (Noah Wiley) were really good friends during ER and to this day March 2023 still are. That is what makes this scene so good they worked so well together
ОтветитьI LOVE YOU CARTER
ОтветитьI just noticed this but the face of his watch is facing towards himself not away from him so it’s able to cover more of the wrist
Ответитьit it amazing to watch it after 20 years when I actualy inderstand what they are saying because I know english now :))
ОтветитьDid he peck Carter on the temporal area?
