this is by far one of the best knife videos ive seen on you tube and i watch knife videos daily thank you for doing this your amazing
ОтветитьGood informative vid
ОтветитьWhat do you think about Kizer?
ОтветитьWhy is a deep carry clip so popular, they are more difficult to retrieve from pocket. Are folks that afraid of the end of their pocket knife being exposed? Deep carry clips almost always ruin the ergonomics of a knife with their tall design then add proud cap head screws to make it worse and many times, ruin pocket hems quicker. Over them.
ОтветитьI love my cheap Chinese knives from Ganzo and Sanrenmu.
ОтветитьAwesome vid, thanks a lot my list of knives to buy next just got longer, 👌
ОтветитьYou have your mouth open 😮 every knife, you look ridiculous 😂
ОтветитьI like how fast you are able to show us so many knives. Most of the knife channels say about the same thing in 20 minutes that you are able to say in 30 seconds (how many times does a person really need to see someone flick open a knife?). Good job.
ОтветитьI love EDC as a concept and hobby, but the mere concept of dropping $200+ dollars on a knife makes me queasy. I can understand if you're a cop or a soldier or fighting ninjas or something but for the average joe, it's a bit excessive, though I totally get the appeal and hobby.
ОтветитьDon't know where to start! ALL GREAT VALUES! The first two got my attention! Especially the SRM, totally overbuilt, and what appears to be a hollow grind! Appreciate all of your great presentations, AND HARD WORK! Thanks for gettin' me into trouble AGAIN!!
ОтветитьThe IKIV is sadly no longer available. Shame, I was really wanting to try one of those out. Absolutely love the modified wharnscliff (SP?) blade shape.
I've owned one of the Ganzo G7531's. I own several Ganzo knives, and usually, I really like their stuff. the G7531 was... well, I opened up the box, and right out of the box, I filled out a return ticket for it. The pivot was tightened to the point that it was a struggle to open. And the axis lock was really stiff, and actually a bit painful to work.
Ganzo knive's axis locks are like that tho, it takes a while for their springs to break in. I did end up giving the knife a try, and after tuning the pivot, it's a pretty good knife. That shape is very mindful of skinning knives, and really does do a good job of being a slicer. The grip is really comfortable. And it comes with a decent sharpness, and all the grinds are really good. The only bad things that I can really say about Ganzo is that the need to start using better knobs. For the axis lock, and the thumbstud. Something with a grind that doesn't bite so much into the fingers and thumbs. Aside from that, they're a great budget knife company!
That one of mine tho, that pivot. It's fickle. And I'm constantly having to re-tune it.
Definitely added a few on a list ha I love cheap knifes I have 5 that’s 50-60 4 otf and 1 crkt spring assist my buddy has a bench made that’s carbon fiber I forget some where in the 300 range and I have 30 knives minus 6 (throwing knives) so 24 knives all different for less then the 300 and I love them if they break or it was a cheap blade I had fun using it, Amazon definitely has some great hidden knives
ОтветитьI've got the Cryo and the Rat2 years ago. I don't think I'll ever regret those purchases.
@ed_edc
I love my parrot 😢
ОтветитьSubscribed. 👍
ОтветитьIn europe there are no budget knife manufacturers and every knife here is 3x the price compared to us. My spyderco tenacious cost me 85$ and my ontario rat 2 with aus8 steel was around 60$ in the cheapest option. Too bad there isn't a lot of quality knives with a low price like in the states..
ОтветитьFeeding the algorithm to encourage this behavior. Thanks for the content
ОтветитьThank you sir, for not spending all your time reviewing $300+ knives.
ОтветитьWhat is the pen in your pocket? Is that a tactical?
ОтветитьNo knife channel has done a better $20 collection than this, thank you 👍 subbed.
ОтветитьDo you mean 801 freetiger 901 looks like a different 🔪
ОтветитьMy favorite budget knife is a oerla fixed blade for around 30 cheapest and 50-70 most expensive there extremely good knifes will last year
ОтветитьRussian. из моего опыта и в армии и после в гражданской жизни , клипса должна быть со стороны лезвия а не наоборот
ОтветитьSanrenmu 710 known as the "Poor Man's Sabenza" should be on this list and the Buck Bantam 284 would be a good one too. I have had the Sanremu 710 for years and it's just a tank of a knife.
Ответитьi hate the term "budget knife"
ОтветитьSome of these knives are $40!!!
ОтветитьDUDE...lOOK AT CAMLLUS HORIZON...IT'S GREAT
ОтветитьI know this will sound Petty but I sure wish OKC would make the rat one and rat 2 in flipper editions maybe just a special run cuz I have such difficulty with the thumb stud on the right one for some reason.
ОтветитьI own the Ka bar folding hunter. Its a lovely knife very good for the price.
ОтветитьThank you for this video my good SIr. God bless you!
ОтветитьI never understood why people liked the rat 1 or rat 2 knives. To me the shape of the scales kills it. Theyre so ugly lol
ОтветитьAhh the sound of an Imperial Probe droid... always warms my heart.
Oh--- just nabbed a SRM 7228 based on your rec of the 7063, I preferred the thinner blade grind, less blocky body, split clip, and the edge that drops below the handle when open.
Nice one!👌
ОтветитьNEW SUB I would like to see the name on the screen as you show them hard to understand you at times! THANK YOU FOR THE INFO!!
ОтветитьLove the QSP Parrot!! Got 2 D2 for $20 each. Beautiful.
ОтветитьIf you get the chance, you may want to add the Smith and Wesson SW609 to your list...Under $20 and worth more than twice as much. I work construction and have been carrying mine for several years. Hard to sharpen due to the hardness of the blade, but I have been told by many who have used it that it has a better edge than most stanley type razor knives.
ОтветитьSo you check out these knives you realize at checkout your now into the 40 dollar range and if you go to check out there your know into the 60 dollar range and then you start thinking what about 2 40z 3 20z then you realize yes this guy's channel and knifes are addictive. 👍
ОтветитьLand 910Plus ?
ОтветитьThanks for the video! I like the knives you find!
ОтветитьAn excellent intro to these "budget" knives, Jay! I was looking for an inexpensive EDC mainly for cutting heavy cardboard, so wanted something with not too much of a "belly". Do you think a Rat 2 would better than say, a CJRB Feldspar for this task? My Spyderco Byrd is ok, but looking for a bit longer blade for other EDC purposes as well. Thanks again!
ОтветитьI wonder how much of the market Kershaw lose through doing so many assisted opening.
ОтветитьJust a heads up, EF is literally never real D2
ОтветитьJay, where can I buy the Ganzo G7531 Auto ? Thanks 😊
ОтветитьHey Jay, was going through your videos, Awesome as always :)) saw that you have a Newtron 2 I have a friend going to blade show West and his is trying to get for me either a Shadow or a Newtron 2. I'd you'd consider a trade ill have him try to grab a left handed version of the Newtron 2 let me know?
ОтветитьHow about top 20 EDC knives for people who care about quality steel.
ОтветитьI’m on my third torsion bar for my kershaw speedsafe, going to be actively avoiding spring assisted from now on.
ОтветитьGanzo love!!!
ОтветитьHonestly you're probably the most relatable knife review guy I watch this year. I definitely can't even watch expensive knife channels anymore. I just can't relate.
ОтветитьYour Chanel is awesome man
