Dell Inspiron Battery Replacement DIY

A while ago I published a video on how to DIY replace a non-working wifi card in this laptop. I was so focused on the wifi card, it took a person viewing the video who placed a comment to draw my attention to the battery. @Marsman512 posted, “Is the battery in that laptop alright? It looks to me like the cells were a bit swollen but that could have been the lighting.” No, it wasn’t lighting, and I needed to replace the battery. Good eye, thanks!

Lessons Learned!
Unfortunately, it took two tries to get the correct size battery, which I’ll get into in the video.
