RuinTen Triple IPA (2022) | Stone Brewing Co. | Beer Review | #1274

For today's review, I'm going to take a look at a beer from the Stone Brewing Company, and it's their RuinTen Triple IPA, the 2022 release. This is a Triple IPA that is brewed with Magnum, Centennial and Citra hops. This is a bigger version of their classic West Coast-style Double IPA, Ruination, and it's also the 10th anniversary of its initial release, not to mention the 20th anniversary of Ruination. I had this once before back in 2012 -- and absolutely hated it because my palate wasn't acclimated to IPAs yet -- so I'm hoping this year's release hits me in a different, but better way. Let's find out if it did!

Note: When I said the color of the beer had a "tin" look to it, I meant "brass." Sometimes, my brain misfires, and here we are. Sorry about that!

Commercial Description:

Brewed in 2012 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the first full-time brewed & bottled West Coast style Double IPA on the planet -- Stone Ruination IPA. It was a thrill to pay homage to a beer already well known for its off-the-charts levels of bitter hoppiness by amping it up even further, and our brewers rose to that challenge. Now ten years later, fans are still clamoring for this beautifully bitter beer. So in honor of those who voted to bring this 10.8% monster back, may this 'stage dive into a mosh pit of hops' be every bit as gloriously ruinous as ever.
