In my early 20's I owned a small business specializing in leather/vinyl repair. It's a very rewarding industry, both financially and visually. I loved walking up to a vehicle with destroyed leather seats and say to myself, "I can fix that". The sad reality is for both myself and the unwitting persons who bought those vehicles, was the product only last for a few months at best before the dye's and repair product started deteriorating. After several years I began to feel like I was operating a "scamming" business, knowing full well that every single car that I "repaired" would soon be back to its original state. The only repairs that were permanent were carpet dye and even then, if it's a red stain, it would eventually begin to bleed back through.. I'm now 48, on my third business (sold the other two) and love what I do for a living... I'm sure the automotive repair industry is still alive and thriving, I only hope the products of today hold up better than they did 20+ years ago..

😳 couldn’t get through the annoying and unnecessary “Muzak”. Decided the better choice was to live with torn up seats.😳

It's better than it was but you can still see all the little cracks.

The paint and primer used on leather are just any paint and primer? Or leather suitable primer and paint must be used?

No, no estoy concienciado con el plástico, utilizo cuánto más mejor, una nuez una bolsa plástico, una fresa una bolsa de plástico, una ecologista muerta…una bolsa de plástico o si quiere seguir siendo ecologista que la envuelvan en hoja de platanera y la dejen tirada en una cuneta cualquiera para que haga compost 😂😂😂😂😂

not sure how this is a repair, more like cosmetic adjustment. Like is the seat gonna be soft and smooth like leather, or feel like plastic chemical crap that might melt in the sun or wipe onto occupants clothes? I feel like a proper "repair" would be like putting all new, fresh leather over the seats.

I found that if you mix your color match paint into your filler, it helps in blending your repaired areas when you sand, so there is no white that might come through, since the white has been mixed with the paint to color match the repair areas.

Too bad you didn't fix the broken seams on the arm rest. It leaves all your splendid reparis still looking worn out and half bad even when done with such care. A shame...

How much will costs this pleasure?

i have a 2019 e tron with valcona leather, what do you recommend for me to use to make sure it stays in pristine shape?

This reminds me of a jacket I had that was blue leather on one side and fur on the other side and I threw that jacket away because the leather had worn out and it was almost the same color as those seats I just saw you fixed and now I'm pissed off! Because I could have found a person like you to fix that jacket and make it look new again this was amazing work😊

Does anybody knows if there's a place in England (south) where I can take my car to have this treatment done on the seats of my Renault Megane?  
It's all wrinkled and full of light scratches. And I wouldn't dare to try to do this myself.
