I normally bass fish, but soon I’m going up north and want to try out walleye fishing. I was wondering how I find them without the sonar stuff because I’ll be in a canoe. Does anyone know?
ОтветитьWhen your spotlocked what speed are you doing on your graph to get readings
ОтветитьSimilar to buzzbomb fishing foe walleye in fall here in Saskatchewan
ОтветитьThanks for the line type explanation. Appreciated. Great video...layerd out well for teaching/learning
ОтветитьTom, you have some awesome videos from techniques to rod to lures. I know some of your videos you show us where to get started on the water. Would like to see an example of the map (screenshot) where the fish was caught. Keep up these informational videos.
ОтветитьWhat size or weight of that lure do you use & what size would I have to use to get down to say 50 ft to 70 ft deep?
ОтветитьHow does this work with suspended fish, like under a big bait ball?
ОтветитьHows the snag ratio?
ОтветитьHey man, what line are you running in this video?
ОтветитьGreat videos. I'm having issues with my line wrapping around the tip of the rod anytime I work the snap in. Any recommendations?
ОтветитьI was just looking at these baits on the shelf today. Now I have to go back and get them lol. Another great video Tom!
ОтветитьHi Tom, I have a St Croix 6"10" Med Lite/xtra fast. Would there be a reason to also get the Elliot 7"3" Med Lite/Fast? I am wanting it for Hyper Rattle snap jigging. Thanks for all your wisdom.
ОтветитьI run 8lb mono on a 7' kvd quantum. I lose a pike every now and then jigging, but I have a pretty good catch rate on bass, crappie and anything other than those toothy som bs
ОтветитьPerfect...find'em-catch'em video as usual !!
ОтветитьJigging raps do the trick for me as well for summer walleye..25 30 FOW
ОтветитьWhat line do you suggest Tom? And what rod type are you using? I got a Fenwick 7' with braided line. 30lbs test.
ОтветитьThis is crazy, this is basically the only video I have found on this lure. Tnx Tom.
ОтветитьAwesome review.. Finally got a hold of some. 4 hyper rattles. Hornet glow, Purple rain, Tiger glow and Blue silver. 2.5".
ОтветитьTHANK YOU!!!!!!
ОтветитьSo far I love the way you explain everything you are doing....is there any way to video the lure to show exactly what it does when you hit it on slack line?
ОтветитьVery good info chief, keep up the good videos.I am at lake Champlain.
ОтветитьHi Tom, big time follower of your videos here. Coming back to fishing after 14 years away and never fished for Walleye but I'm in an area where I can fish for those now.. The one thing I was not sure about was the leader? So you're going from the braided line to a monofillament leader... Are you just tying those two together or can you run a swivel or something between the two? 10 lb braided, to 10 lb (?) mono then to a clip and then the hyper rattler. Is that correct? Just about got all my ducks in order for this. I thought we might be out there today but something came up but hopefully by next week we'll be out doing this. Thanks again for your amazing college level fishing videos!
ОтветитьYou talk too much.
ОтветитьWhat kind (and size) of snap do you tie on?
ОтветитьTom I am considering the purchase of a Hummingbird Helix SI 5 or 7. What is the difference in the graphics detail between gen2 and gen3?
ОтветитьGood video but.... driving around looking at your graph and looking for fish is not the best way to do it. Buck Perry is the Father of Structure Fishing and his principles will guide you to more and bigger fish. Not trying to discount what you did here...cool video.
ОтветитьI’ve always been a bass fisherman but recently started trying to learn how to catch walleye. I’ve learned more from watching two of your videos than watching dozens of other guys. Thanks for the tips bro
ОтветитьI watched your videos and went on a trip with a bunch of buddies to the boundary waters in Minnesota. Brought my Lowrance with me to put on the rental boats and used this exact technique on basswood lake. First trip I’ve ever really “targeted” walleye and ended up landing a 8.3 pound 30 1/2” walleye! Among other fish of course but I just wanted to send a shout out and a thank you!
ОтветитьSo are you looking for a certain water temp before you snap jig? Or are you looking for eyes at a certain depth?
ОтветитьBest action and power for snap jigging?
ОтветитьIs that like a jigging rap
ОтветитьUnderrated channel. I love this stuff
ОтветитьSounds like tour Reels could use some oil..
ОтветитьAwesome video Tom, just recently got back into fishing after 20 years, I'll be watching more of your videos, as I'm basically starting again with zero knowledge, I love your teaching style
ОтветитьWhy did you stop guiding?
ОтветитьTom, do you offer guide services?
ОтветитьTom what are you using your Si or Di to find your fish in the VId. Thanks your awesome
ОтветитьSeriously. Who don’t like your videos? That’s incredibly odd to me. You are the best.
ОтветитьHey Tom, aiming for walleye in Callander Bay, I tried jigging vertical and casting or triple swivel spinner and trolling. What’s my best option here, fishing about 25 feet deep. Thanks man
ОтветитьWhat pound fluro leader do you use?
ОтветитьGreat video as always. Thanks.
Have you fished walleye up in the Timmins area of northern Ontario?
Sweet video man!
ОтветитьSo if you do not have electronics.....is this method a way of sorting through different walleye structures? ie-if no hits in x time...move on. Or does this method also attract fish so you should stay a little longer??
ОтветитьAwesome video. Great presentation! Now I have something new to buy. Thinking of trying it on lake Erie.
ОтветитьGreat lesson . I enjoy trying all of your techniques in your videos and my catch rate has increased dramatically.
Thnx DL
It is looking like we may not get to Canada this year for Fall Walleyes. We have options in the Hayward area...what lake is the best option for a pseudo Canada walleye trip? Grindstone, Round or the Flowage? Thanks Tom.
ОтветитьThe clown colors have been killing it out here on Erie's central basin lately. I run out about twice a week when weather permits right now, and it's mayfly season. So, crawler harnesses with clown blades and bright beads are killing it right now for us.
