Just wanted to post a comment so you know that your video is still useful today! currently useing this formula as a member of my HR department and its been super useful to those of us still working without some of the newer features not available for Microsoft 2016 - thank you!
ОтветитьKhup valo hoyeche sir
ОтветитьWhat if i have to use same thing but in multiple rows. I hope you understand me. Reply will be appreciated.
ОтветитьBrilliant! Clear and concise walkthrough with just the right amount of details. Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you very much. Your explanation is very easy to understand and can be use to other excel version.
Ответить🙏so beautiful
ОтветитьTHANK YOU SIR 🙏
ОтветитьAmazing tutorial
ОтветитьThank you for the excellent tutorial. How does one make multiple selections within a searchable drop down cell?
ОтветитьThanks very much sir 👍
ОтветитьHi, thank you for your video.
It actually worked, but applying data validation to a series of rows , only gives me one result in the drop-down lists, result from the previous word i typed in. Pls help.
Very useful formula but also extremely lengthy
ОтветитьHi Neil, I am so grateful to see this video. This helps me bigtime with one of my job. Wonderful!
ОтветитьNice vidio
Ответитьthe best!!!! big time the best tutorial , Thank you very much
ОтветитьGreate my dear friend Thanks for your Generosity
ОтветитьThanks! 9 years later and I actually needed this today lol that's a million
ОтветитьMany thanks Neil. Articulate. Step by step.
ОтветитьMany thanks Neil. Articulate. Step by step.
ОтветитьThis is Brilliant! Is there a way to include or "show" additional data from a lookup table but actually just select the name? I have a growing list of contacts and it would be helpful to also see a company name to ensure I get the correct John Smith.
Ответитьif you change the source data a table .. and use the MAX function to obtain the offset hieght then its a tad shorter .. and on VERY long lists is faster
but a good us of the offset
Cant believe you made this video 8 years ago...that too without vba
I thought it was only possible in office 365
8 years and still people are copying your work in their videos 😂..great work man. But can u help me with making multiple searchable drop down lists in excel!?
ОтветитьBrilliant Neil. I only got halfway and gave a thumbs up and subscribed. A good practical use of formulas that I have known of for many years. (Or should that be ''tears")
Ответитьit gives the result only one cell, we cant have multiple salary
ОтветитьThank you so much 😍
ОтветитьHi! Thanks for this wodrdful vid! I think It's great! My problem is that my formula is not adding in sum totals. It's just counting instances and marking them as 1. Can you tell me what I might be doing wrong? My formula is literally identical to your example. Thanks!
Ответитьthis works only on D2? I need this for the whole column :(
ОтветитьExactly what I wanted...very nicely explained...if possible write step by step formulas to be used in your description
ОтветитьCan you give link to download this excel file?
ОтветитьThanks a lot
ОтветитьCool video! It is nice to see that a searchable data validation list is possible. Now, can you have the master name table/dynamic array and the drop down list in separate sheets in the same workbook? I would like to keep the master name list hidden from view. Worst case scenario, I can just put everything in the same sheet but use white font color to hide the name list and dynamic array.
ОтветитьAfter so many years, this still useful when u cant use ms365
.
Make more excel workbooks easily explained and updated
ОтветитьThis was sooo convoluted..but it works lol =D (I don't mean your video and explanation was convoluted I just mean the whole process to do it, your video was great!)
Ответитьthanks a bunch, this really helped
ОтветитьHi What if you have multiple dropdown Cells
ОтветитьThat is great.
Thank you very much!
super helpful. Nice and thorough detailing along the way.
ОтветитьThe whole process is great but to copy for the dropdown for 100 more rows below how will u format the same as in the first column we have only freezed one cell
ОтветитьGreat Job - Thanks
Ответитьwhat if i need to put the same validation set in multiple cells?
ОтветитьGreat help! Thanks Neil
ОтветитьWatched this when i started learn Excel. Today i watch again and i feel grateful because this video actually taught me a lot about Excel formula.
ОтветитьGreat Video . I learnt a lot. I have a question. If I want to have the data validation on the cell below the cell also , how do I do it
ОтветитьTks so much! How can I do if i have a table data with many rows, each row we must type text and select result as you did above?
Ответитьabsolutely brilliant! many thanks - this works a treat :)
ОтветитьWhy I always have errors when applied name range to a data validation? And drop down list doesnt work?
Ответить
