Ranking Every Exotic Weapon in Destiny 2 for Endgame PvE

Just a few clarifications/revisions:
- This list will be revisited next season with your feedback + sandbox changes + new weapons! :D
- Cryosthesia's LN2 burst has splash freeze!
- Outbreak was definitely undersold here, probably the biggest ranking miss but it's still D, that being said we'll move it up in D next season!
- Revision Zero's regular pulse shots also receive Barrier capabilities.

Needs more sunshot

Sad to see Vex powercrept by Quicksilver so much. I love running the Vex + ROF well lock build for solo dungeons, but i completely understand how dominant quicksilver is.

Though I’m wondering, would simply making overcharge rely on hits be enough, since with quicksilver you dont need to be precise with grenades. I guess it being a solar weapon tying with solar builds could be worth it alone but I’m honestly not sure.

I've been enjoying using Centrifuse with arc warlock, since with the catalyst you gain charge while amplified.

Fun with vesper of radius to just fill the room with arc blinding

i almost cried seeing my beloved wicked implement get put into d tier, that thing goes nuts in a good stasis build mate

Dude no Gravitron hits EXTREMELY hard for ad clear. Probably the hardest for a primary. Tremendous synergy with void classes.

I know it's his opinion list, but some like the thorn do a fantastic jobs in a solo GM against over loads and it gets better even ran with a warlock and necrotic grips strand or solar it will crush through Champs.

I was so disappointed by revision zero for the way the perks and mechanics work to it. 4 fucking bars of commitment that feels like shit even with fftc and vorpal. You might say, oh but it's pulse and a snipe so it has safety in distance. And comes with intrinsic AB, but it's ass and is over shadowed by others. I mean even QSS literally does a better utility job than RV.


The unfortunate thing with RV too is you only build data on precision hits. In most cases there is a primary legendary that is better or equal to simply bc the champ mods that season. It just needs a buff. (Pretty sure the dmg type /model is adaptive frame as well)

Such a different perspectives, some I disagree with due to build crafting with exotic armour, but I cleared some 20 slots in my vault coz you made a lot of sense as well

This list is all over the place. I mean, it's just incoherent rambling and contradictions to your own reasoning left and right.

It really feels like you just randomly threw things on a list to get views. And some of the things you have ranked in D tier are fantastic weapons.

I think Anarchy needs its reserves buffed, then have the intrinsic changed to where kills with the arc traps increase their damage and duration.

now if only leviathan's breath could also benefit from reserve mods, which currently do nothing at all

I don’t think sleeper deserves the bottom, it does comparable damage to leviathans

Graviton Lance being in C while Sunshot is in A feels wrong. Fundamentally they do the same thing. Sunshot may scorch but the Graviton void projectiles track to new targets for better range with chaining. Like am I missing something?

Not sure how Prometheus lens is more useful than coldheart. As much as i used to use the op magnifying glass; heavy ability regen, ionic traces, jolt and blind is alot better that some ignitions and auto-reload

sad that sleeper's only real use case now is vs Kali if you're not on gold gun hunter for whatever reason. Also verglas rules on renewal hunter, you can keep everything in the battlegrounds boss room on lockdown and have a resistance buff

Exotic armor tier list?

On the Edge of Concurrence, it isn’t ‘Just’ chain lightning. The damage of the shot itself (not the chain lightning) is 3-4x as much as a normal shot but at the same time, It’s not enough to really make it better for endgame stuff with having to turn the Glaive to load it.

It’s times like this which make me feel that Destiny could do with an alternate fire button like Warframe. Cut out the prepping of special rounds like the Glaives and immediately fire it.

Edit: it also disappointed me to find out that Sturm’s damage boost doesn’t even work with lucky pants.

What changed about merciless recently? (Around lightfall)

i think sunshot is way too high on the list (can replace it with crafted zaoulis for similar effect without wasting exotic slot), the fact you have sleeper and jotunn in the useless tier makes me assume you didn't even try any solar builds with them.

not sure if anyone else mentioned it but Parasite stacks up fast from yellow bars and above, orange bars only count for 1 stack same as reds (at least going by Compendium’s data there.)

I find it funny how messy the D ranking is. He literally says you're better off using Polaris Lance instead of Skyburner's Oath, and yet Skyburner is above Polaris.
Edit: And same with Tomy's Matchbook being above Polaris

Deterministic Chaos would be such a good extoic if the exotic perk was switched. Every 4th shot applies volatile and every 16th weakens

Crazy how the D tier makes up half of the list, if not more. Goes to show how few and far between good exotics are. Kind of disgraces the name of “Exotic”
