I’m building a off road go kart , what angle caster should I use. Please help. I don’t want to much or to little.
ОтветитьVery good information
ОтветитьGood video, the bicycle analogy really brought it home for me. Thank you.
ОтветитьGreat, but your video need to be explained in graphical show, it is normal methodology for any geometry.
ОтветитьLooks like that Honda took more of a front end hit than my
04 corolla . The steering fights a little bit at highway speed .
I guess that is a symptom of not enough positive caster
Thanks bro keep it up
ОтветитьThis is why a bicycle has positive on the front forks. Correct? Same with motorcycles.
Edit: I like your videos btw. Ty
my toyota verso uk says is not adjustable but u can dobthat by moving strut mounts as they have space left where bolts goes through the body
ОтветитьHow can I add positive caster to a vehicle that isn’t adjustable? I’ve got an F450 and it has almost 0° caster
ОтветитьAwsome.
ОтветитьI was told my caster was bent? Is that even possible?? If so, what can i do to fix it? An alignment? Thnx
Ответить☝👍
ОтветитьW italians
ОтветитьI just had my 4runner lifted and new wheels/ tires. Had an alignment and camber adjusted but it’s still a TAD negative and by a tad it’s almost unnoticeable. But being that it’s not exactly 0° is that an issue at all?
ОтветитьSo very very well explained
Ответить👍
ОтветитьExcellent video and information. Thank you for sharing 🙏👍
ОтветитьOut of all cars in the world you had to present 4ws prelude. It would be awesome if you were showing rear caster :) cheers
ОтветитьWhat if I have all new front end but the caster is still off
ОтветитьSo on a macpherson strut setup, the top pivot point would be at the strut mount right?
ОтветитьI remember changing the struts out on a Toyota and forgot to mark them before removing. Alignment was so far out, the guy at the alignment shop wasnt too happy about that 🤣 Gave him more work I guess.
PS- loved the Bicycle analogy, great way to explain that positive caster 👍
Keep it up man! I want to see you recommend some used vehicles again adjusting to inflation 😂
ОтветитьKeep loading don’t stop 🛑 don’t kill the Chanel brother … you’re one of the fist Mecanic Chanel I watch …5 years ago love to see you keep the good job 👏
ОтветитьWhat caster angle works best for strippers? 😲
Ответитьthe UNMENTIONABLE?!!...
smh really? Avoiding this rabbit hole 🐇 🕳 I've gotten good at.
Hola from Mazatlán for now! Shopping carts good example too
ОтветитьThere is no caster on front or all wheel drive cars,CLICKBAIT!!
Ответитьkeep them coming 👍
ОтветитьNice garage👀Doesn't have liquor cabinet though😪
ОтветитьI know Chinese, and it still made no sense. Nah, great video and explanation
ОтветитьVery helpful, thank you.
ОтветитьProbably wouldn't hurt to apply some castor oil on the steering linkage when you're done
ОтветитьWhy bother to have positive castor for the front steered wheels? To increase camber angle with increase of steering angle to aid cornering performance, as well as provide self centering steering via literally jacking up the front end of the vehicle as the steering is turned.
ОтветитьThe highlight of the channel is the very detailed and informative explanations! I've been a long time subscriber!
ОтветитьI REALLY appreciate your explaining this. I had heard the term, but never really understood it. Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat content
ОтветитьHow is the insulation working for you in the winter now?
ОтветитьExcellent Video !!!!!
ОтветитьYou are amazing !
Ответить🔥👍🏽
ОтветитьMy man
My imaginary has limits🤣
But all the love
Explaining caster...hmmm, does that mean you're a telecaster?
ОтветитьThe bicycle example really helped. Thank you!
ОтветитьBicycle example was a great explanation!
ОтветитьGreat idea to show engine stand casters I can never remember The difference between camber and caster but now caster on an engine stand or shopping cart is way simpler to remember.
ОтветитьFor some reason, American autos used negative caster way back. I noticed this in the 60's because the front wheels would look like they are laying down towards the outside when turning. I noticed the difference when I saw German cars turn.
ОтветитьI think caster might be similar to rake angle in a motorcycle. That helps me understand the concept better.
ОтветитьThanks dude, I didn’t know this.
Ответитьi wonder why car manufactures don't do negative caster for the back wheels?
