Big appreciation to the folks digging this far back into the catalog of the channel. Appreciate you!
ОтветитьI love that you put your references in your video! Thanks for the book suggestions!
ОтветитьLIP is also notable for being a worker owned co-op for some time, a monument in labor history.
ОтветитьWow, this is news to me. I figured Hamilton was the originator of electrics.
ОтветитьNice into video. A few corrections are needed thou, LIP's 1952 prototype wasn't the R27, it was a different grade. Elgin's 1952 prototype was also a different grade. The 1952 is side set, the grade 722 was backset and appears 1953. It nearly made it to market in 1955 and several models were produced but then the release was delayed. LIP also produced a sold state (as in circuit to drive the coils) R27 in 1958, this was displayed publicly, making it one of the first solid state watches around even thou it still had a balance wheel. You should investigate battery tech next.
ОтветитьI have been to Graceland and also at several auctions and I have seen Elvis Presley's hamilton ventura and I have seen the solid 14karat gold ventura not the cheaper one that you mentioned and as far as I'm aware and is commonsense.. why would a man as rich as Presley have the cheaper hamilton???
ОтветитьVery interested stuff, nicely done.
ОтветитьI have a very small part of my collection made up of electric and electronic watches. I've had a hard time finding other examples and now I have watches to look out for. Now if I could just find a watchmaker that will service an electric or electronic watch that would be great. I have five watches and only one of them works
ОтветитьVery informative. Didn't know the difference between the electric and quartz watches. Surprised that even the Old Dogs jumped on the train of Electric watches. Good job & fun!
ОтветитьExcellent video my friend... lovely presentation and use of pictures.... Wonderful to see some new watches, well ones I've not seen before... so digital display next, can't wait.
Thanks for taking the time to produce this, am guessing it took time, but very worth it ;)
Big thumbs!
Very informative and well done! 👍🏻
