HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!!♥I hope this gives you some ideas you can implement into your home to make it look luxurious for less! What space in your home do you think needs the most improving this year??
ОтветитьJust moved my kist which I had angled across a corner to flat against the wall - bedroom transformed - 🙏
ОтветитьFor us coastal lovers, i like shells, coral and water prints as long as It's not over done.
ОтветитьGreat tips! Where is the tall plant from in the corner behind you? It’s fab!
ОтветитьI'd forgive those with the messy fridge that have an I Love My German Shepherd sign on it LOL
Ответить❤Hi Kristen!!I I just love, love, love watching your channel! I always agree with you! I always take away a new thing that I hadn't thought about. And by the way, you are so beautiful and have such a sweet and genuine nature about you that is so personable and down to earth. Thank you for all of the time you put into your videos and making them so professional and well done! I'm always excited for the next video!❤
ОтветитьI’ve been looking for a designer I could follow that doesn’t have a quirk. lol. True. I have found that with you. Thank you!
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьDon‘t give advice, Your home is awful!
ОтветитьPlease do more videos like this one❤ Also a video on decorating a kitchen would be helpful 😊thanks so much and love your channel!:)
ОтветитьKristen always coming through with the best design tips🙌🏽
ОтветитьWhere's the line between a design style and a theme though? And does it actually apply the same in all decor styles? I love moody baroque rooms - but I'm constantly struggle with questioning myself on when enough is enough. With a darker baroque style, which is just inherently a big or meaty type of style, it's a hard balance between "theme room" and "just my house".
ОтветитьVery good points!!!
ОтветитьI watched this and it gave me some eye-opening tips on avoiding common design pitfalls. The advice about choosing quality over quantity really made me rethink my decor choices.
ОтветитьThank you for this video. I have a problem. I have inherited my parents Hepplewhite dining room set and their Chippendale Living room pieces. And I have no idea how to make them look modern and up to date. Should I even try or keep it in that style. My living room has a mahogany tier table with Knick knacks on it. I have a very old comfy chair and ottoman with Burgandy velvet upholstery and long twisted silk fringe trim. A side table with folding ends and Sheridan shaped legs that looks like it belongs in the White Hoose, two silk upholstered wood trimmed Chippendale armchairs and a Martha Washington side chair. There is a mix of mahogany and cherry wood. I love the look of your house, very light and aery, but I dare not put that kind of casual details in these two rooms. The chandelier over the dining room is brass with hurricane glass sitting on each arm. Both rooms have formal drapery treatments that were designed by Ethan Allen.
ОтветитьCan you please make a vide of ideas for narrow entry way and how to style it not feel too stuffy and too empty? Thank you!
ОтветитьThere are not many people in England who could have 3 feet between furniture, unfortunately our homes here are small.
ОтветитьThis video was a real eye-opener. The insights into common interior design mistakes were practical and applicable, and I now feel more confident in making simple adjustments to my living space.
ОтветитьDefinitely our living room! With furniture placement and competing design choices it’s a room I don’t enjoy.
ОтветитьI love this video and all the great ideas! My husband and I built our home 19 years ago and haven’t done anything to update it. I would love to get just a fresh look for my living room and for our master bathroom. Now if we were only rich…!
ОтветитьAbout the curtains. We used similar curtain poles as you showed in the video, but opted for non-lined curtains as the ones we got have a bit of a pattern (creamier white on white) and are reasonably thick anyway. We got them from Ikea. We also opted for putting up the same curtain style in all the rooms except for the two rooms that is more storage than lived in space and they are thicker cotton curtains. Having the same curtains everywhere gave the house a feeling of flow and allowed it to act as a backdrop for the furniture in a room, and allowed for the walls that we did in neutral earthy colours for the most part to look more upscale. Instead of earthy we did a sailor blue in the kitchen which has white furniture in it. We're in rented accommodation (in Sweden though) with a right to decorate the house.
ОтветитьI really need to improve our spare room. It’s where my stationary bike is, a guest bed (wall bed), makeup table where I get ready, etc. Everything in that room is functional but not sure how to style the room or make it cohesive. Any tips for making functional rooms look purposefully put together and stylish?
ОтветитьGlitz and glam can be tricky, you just need to know good pieces and mix them with other mato
ОтветитьWhat do you think about velvet accent couches? Are they sparkly or do they give high end vibe?
ОтветитьWho is she to tell us how to decorate our homes???
ОтветитьI need help with my open concept living room
ОтветитьOh stop thats not nice 😮
ОтветитьI never knew a fridge was / bulletin board. No no looks better without all that
ОтветитьHi my ceiling are low. What can I do so my curtain can look right ? Ty
Ответитьwould be interested in bathroom design topic... thank you
ОтветитьI agree with you! Taking the photos and reminders off the refrigerator made my kitchen look so much cleaner and luxurious. However, I needed to have a place to put the kids school calendars and after school schedules somewhere....I put them inside the cabinet doors. I taped them right where I could get to them and then they were out of sight but within reach! Thank you for your channel!
Ответить❤❤❤
Ответить😍😍😍😍😍
Ответить💖💖💖💖
ОтветитьKristen, thank you for the drapery recommendation. I am moving soon, so I will be sure to use your link and get those curtains. They are fabulous.
ОтветитьI need help styling a kitchen peninsula with a sink. I still need to access soap and have a place to dry my dishes, but there's no esthetic way to hide that stuff, at least that I've found. Help, please 🙏
ОтветитьI love your advices!!!
I remember one of your old advices: nothing on the top of the fridge!
And I did it!
Now for this video, I love the idea of always having the extra white fabric with the curtains, what I will do is get white fabric and sew it to my current curtains!!!
Another great video with wonderful ideas! I would love to see a video on using accessories in your home. Not just buying them but actually how to use them on tabletops, in bookshelves, etc.
ОтветитьOne of the other things to make a home look more elevated - keeping it clean! I'm a Realtor, and I had one of my high end listings where the house was filthy dirty, I couldn't get the client to hire a cleaner ($2 mil home and no cleaner?!) and I couldn't get the client to do a good job cleaning it either - talk about leaving money on the table. I've also had homes that were not high end and didn't have much upgrades but the owners were meticulous in how clean they kept their home and those I always broke sales records for the neighborhood. Buyers can tell when a home is well taken care of and they always feel those homes are worth more. Sort of the same concept with the fridge comment - that's one of my top tips for clients as well, clear off the fridge.
ОтветитьVery interesting and informative loved it 💯💯💯😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
ОтветитьI think it just depends on the person. These tips are fantastic if you want an expesive looking house or are putting a house up for sale. The room set up is also a fantastic tip. But not putting you family pictures on the fridge, and not having themed rooms just because it looks less fansy is silly uf you aren't selling a house. People have chicken themed kitchens because it makes them happy. The worked hard to own the house. No one should care what others think of their chicken statue. Again, these are awesome tips for selling houses or people who really care about looking stylish. But it should be noted most celebrities have themed rooms, animals statues, and random fish statues in their ocean side houses. And those people are millionaires. People should be careful about worrying about what others think. If you want a house with the style tips posed here, fantastic! Go for it! But don't change things because you want it to 'look expensive' just to show it off to people.

ОтветитьHi, I love watching your videos. Our kitchen cabinets and countertops are the same colors. We have a lot in common how we decorate. I am the same as you with trying to hide ugly electric outlets. I changed mine out very in expensive. I found on Pinterest a company that sells white covers that go over your existing outlets and switches. Taymac Lowe's sells them. Have a Blessed day!
ОтветитьLove your channel and content
ОтветитьYou always have great ideas Kristen to make your space look clean and high end. Thank you for sharing. 💕
ОтветитьHanging curtains high to the ceiling is not a one size fits all. Curtain height should be proportional to the height of the ceiling and top the height of the window. If your windows are much lower than the ceiling, hanging the curtains to the top of the ceiling just looks ridiculous.
ОтветитьMy laundry room
ОтветитьEvery part I improve...
I received advice 🤍refrigerator's surface should be clean.
In the video, all examples is neat and organized. I have concern hanging curtain by my self once.
I think it seems difficult yet.
I keep needing some study from your channel.
🤎Thanks! for premium interior videos.
love your comment about the difference between design style and theme. would be great if you could do a video going deeper into this subject
ОтветитьSo many good ideas here! I am in between homes at the moment (Life happens...) but am looking forward to implementing some ideas I have gained from this channel when I finally have a home (living space) of my own again! It will be fun, thrifting and restoring/painting some of what I already have in storage. 🥰
