When you replace the wire rope, how much do you allow for initial stretching?

Thank you for this very helpful video. It answered a few questions I had about replacing the stay in my Harken furler. Much appreciated!

I see you used a Sta-Lok on the lower end. Is there a particular reason you swaged the upper end rather than use a Sta-Lok eye?

SUPER HELPFUL VIDEO!!! thank you very much for posting. I am changing my 8mm headstay on a 35ft sailboat, and i want to reinstall my harken mk3 size 2. i also noticed that the locking collar will not fit the new sta-lock. did you completely replaced the locking collar and olf wire end fitting fot the sta-lock terminal? im considering doing the same
