Your values are your values ( although I tend to agree almost totally with you ) But I don't think they are British values anymore the values of our country are the sum of all the values that citizens hold and those values are moving fast we are losing the plot and our values, our values over the last 100 years are now under attack. Remember we only became a democracy in 1927 when women got the vote as I see it that's when my pride in our values starts I don't need to discuss slavery or the empire since only a tiny number of men could vote so I don't accept any national ownership for decisions before 1927 ( most men only got the vote in 1918)
