I know this may sound strange but is it true that if you throw a bunch of yarn sceens into the dryer on a low setting with a dryer sheet, it will clean the yarn and make old musty smells go away?? Thank you so much and I love, love you advice and channel!

Thank you Staci for teaching me to knit, I couldn't have done it without you. As a lifelong crocheter, I found knitting to be daunting, the patterns unnecessarily unclear and instructions seemed to be written for people who already knew how to knit. Your teachings changed my creative world forever. With a little practice and effort, my friends and family now come to me wanting to learn to knit. Of course, I send them straight to you.

Hi Stacey! I have been watching your videos for years! Thank you for your amazing content, it has been so helpful and fun to watch! I have a suggestion for a video regarding afterthought heels. I can't seem to find any video tutorials on how to correct the error of placing the heel in the wrong spot.. (and weaving in my ends!!!) Luckily, I have learned from my mistake enough to not do it again, but now that I am ...tangled up... in this problem, I would love to get your take on how to save these beautiful socks. Did I mention that giving up is not an option? The yarn was custom hand-dyed by my 4-year-old and she keeps asking mommy where her rainbow socks are! Help, Stacey! Thank you!!!

Last night I mentally recalled the knitted shaker dishcloth pattern as a tool for relaxing and putting myself to sleep...a more complex version of counting sheep, but it works! Finding the numerical rhythms and logic in this 20 row pattern was a satisfying discovery. Thank you for sharing your creations with this ever-growing community, and for inspiring us with so many skill levels! You help create a safe and joyous space for us knitters!

if you want to learn to knit, this is definitely the best and most reliably correct FREE resource for everything you will need to know. Staci’s instruction and demonstration videos are clear, she has a pleasant voice, and the swatches she uses are big enough to see the technique. If you have a question you can search on her website and it is probably covered in a video or one of her podcasts. If not, you can send her an email and she will address it in her podcast. She is always encouraging, capable and confident. She has several slow motion videos that are great for visual learners. Definitely recommend 100%.

I am struggling with working off my cast on stitches and want to hear your description of challenges and best practices. I find this the hardest row. Searched your site but didn't get any hits for my specific search. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! Lots of time to knit during this Covid19 pandemic. I was wondering if you or someone else might have a video of how to put a knit or purl stitch back onto the left needle after having stitched it onto the right needle? It doesn't necessarily have to be a stitch that was incorrect. It can be a purl or knit stitch that was done correctly. I just want to know the process of putting a stitch back onto the left needle if, for example, you are demonstrating to someone else and want to repeat a stitch. So...I would be knitting or purling a stitch, but then I want to put it back onto the left side and demonstrate again, but....how to move it back onto the left side?? Thanks ever so much. (How will I know that you have responded to this?!). Hmmm....thank you.

Hi- I have been watching and enjoying your videos for quite some time. I always go to you first, when I have a problem. I really have a problem now. I have just completed a garter stitch jacket, using 50/50 alpaca/merino wool. I used the Magic Knot, Invisible Knot (has different names for the same knot) to join a new skein of yarn (in the middle of the work). YIKES, the knots are coming undone. I have used this knot for years, and never had this problem. How do I fix these knots, soon to become holes?? I am also halfway through an Illusion baby blanket. I checked those knots (50/50 merino and acrylic) and those knots are also coming undone. The knots are not undone yet, but coming soon. I am in a panic. I don't know how to fix these two messes. Can you please help me???

Thank you for a great video on how to do the magic loop. I watched a video that said it was an easy 7 steps to learn how to do the loop. It turned out to be 14 steps and very confusing. I was so frustrated and felt like giving up. Then, yep, found your video. You made it so clear, so easy and, lo and behold, I and moving right along on my sweater sleeve! Thank you!

Hi Stacey It's Anita. You answered a question a few months ago but I can't find email.
So I have Mountain Mohair ripped & washed 2X. Just like in your video. Soaked in Soak, lukewarm, 20 min, then 45. Some still curly. Shld I not squeeze out so much water & let gravity help weight it? It's 70%wool, 30 mohair. No alpaca. So shouldn't stretch. I hate to use hair conditioner....Thx Anita
