I've heard of this before, and I'm sure publications like Eating Well have since made it more difficult to pitch articles so freely (actual writers probably have a point of contact to submit their articles to) because people were generating terrible AI-written articles and stealing legit writers/researchers' work. Just hearing the first sentence that AI generated, it sounds like trash. It replaced words using synonyms...I think I read somewhere too that publishers have tools to detect AI-written content, so this is definitely a great way to get blacklisted by them!
