Chicago patent attorney Rich Beem talks about he trained the U.S. Army and their engineers in dealing with patents.

The U.S. Army has over 9,000 researchers, engineers, and scientists on the east coast. They help develop advance technologies. We were called in to help train these people in how to go through the patent process. Patents are extremely important in the army as they use it as a measurement on how those who develop these technologies are producing. We conducted about 3 training courses for the staff in many different types of technology. Because of our training, they were able to improve the patent process and as a result, their inventions themselves. We have also led courses for Boeing, Rolls Royce, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
