ОтветитьThe fear mongering in our society today is WILD. Thanks for this video!
ОтветитьNew to channel shout out to all my noses 👃! Was wondering if you could review Kuumba oil or fragrance oils in general. Think you would love Water Goddess by Kuumba! And they have an amazing lavender scent called Lavender Lace as well <3
ОтветитьYour critique on the marketing term "clean" is very similar to all the dermatologists I follow. It's a good reminder that marketing is not science. Thank you for sharing this information.
Ответитьi love these videos, i find the fragrance industry so fascinating. thank you!!!!!!
ОтветитьI need more videos that go into depth of the industry and the process. This was so interesting.
ОтветитьI didn’t know anything about perfumes before I came across one of your vids a few days ago. Now I’ve binge watched most of your vids and have become super interested in finding fragrances that may be for me! ✨
ОтветитьOOHH new upload right as I was scenting up for bed.
I’m so sorry to hear Santal Complet has been discontinued. That’s awful!
Although the plant beautifully blending with the glowy light is such a vibe, make sure the plant isn't touching the bulb for too long (if the bulb gets hot of course)... My friend accidentally lit her plant on fire this way, she's ok, the plant's ok, I just wanted to give a kind warning ❤
ОтветитьPlease never stop making videos 🙏🙏 I love perfume and I started growing my own perfume collection last year. I started with about 2 perfumes and now I’m at 37 that I’m in LOVE with thanks to your recommendations. I even found my signature scent thanks to you. Although my wallet isn’t very happy, I am, thank you so much ❤
ОтветитьHi, my question : is lataffa or Emirates brands conforming to IFRA ? Like europeans perfumers accept to make them fragrances, i ask myself. I live in France france I have a baby and my favorite perfume IS Musamam white intense by Lataffa ...
ОтветитьI find this topic so fascinating. Please do more videos like this ❤
ОтветитьSuch valuable info omfg
ОтветитьDo you have promo codes for people in Canada? :) I want to sample amore cafe
ОтветитьLoved your discussion on greenwashing and marketing and making money from the same sources as the people they demonise
ОтветитьAs a fragrance nerd i absolutely love these videos!!!! Please make more 🤩
Ответитьthis is sooo informative. Thank you for sharing your 101 information. :D
ОтветитьThe fact that Bath & Body Works uses approved scent molecules has nothing to do with not being tolerable because they use horrible bases for everything. Their body spray base is irritating to breath, not the molecules. Their body washes also have always had way too much preservatives and cause skin irritation, and even now, since the recession, they have cheapened their foaming hand soap bases (the one thing I used to buy), and now they ALL smell aweful and make your hands feel sticky. What you are saying about the regulation of scent molecules automatically making all fragranced products safe is categorically illogical, and you're basically gaslighting anyone who is adversely affected by only their body sprays, specifically. NO!
ОтветитьBe careful with "clones" and "cheapies". There are a Lot of them that don't use safe ingredients. It's why a lot of them don't sell from stores, but from online websites. Easier to get around all the restrictions.
ОтветитьThanks for your video. Greenwashing and fearmongering is so popular in the cosmetic industry and I really try to avoid brands making money out of such marketing.
And I hate IFRA regulations - why the perfume cannot just have potential allergens listed on the box? E.g. peanuts can even kill some people but we don't ban them from our food. I don't think any perfume ingredient can kill you, they can just give your some skin reaction and these constant reformulations destroyed so many perfumes already 😡
Emma, may I offer you my Microphone holding services ?....i can start ASAP...Xxx
ОтветитьWhat I appreciate about the nontoxic fragrance brands is the consumer transparency!
Also, you seem to be insinuating that a house is not capable of working with a brand to meet their personal requirements for their fragrances…
I don’t care if the ingredients come from the same house as long as it’s free of all the harmful things it says it’s free of
Are the fragrance brands very open about the frangrance houses that they source from? Or is it a confidential thing? And I am assuming the landscape (and even regulations) is very different based on countries, the price ranges, etc.
ОтветитьDo these same houses make the dupes?
ОтветитьI think ambergris can still be used, it’s just usually synthesized due to price. It doesn’t hurt the sperm whales, it’s found washed up ashore! 🌊
ОтветитьI don't know how to say it but I'm an Art major so perfumery is the furthest thing from what I do, but whenever I work I like to put on your videos and they really help me concentrate. Super informative and they make me feel a bit smarter after every session. :) Please continue doing what you do! Tysm. xoxo
ОтветитьThis is so fun to learn
Ответитьhey, emma.
hey,google.
You don’t harm a sperm whale to get ambergris… Are you sure it’s actually banned? Or is it simply that it’s not usually used because it’s quite expensive due to its rarity?
ОтветитьYou speak the exact way me and my brain have conversations and it’s the most satisfying thing ever I can’t thank you enough how incredibly accessible and digestible your language choice and format is❤
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video. Perfectly delivered. Sounds maybe cliche, but knowledge is the best thing you can give someone. That’s why I love your channel so much. It’s not constantly pushing for new products and just influencing. I wish you all the best on your perfumery journey. 😊 Thank you for making your videos so informative and fun to watch!
ОтветитьI see there are many videos on how to make fragrances using essential oils. It would be awesome to see you do a video like that because it's somewhat easier for most people (me, im most people) to understand.
Right now im wearing YSL myslf, and i would love to make a version of it with more emphasis on the orange/blossom note.
Could you please share some book recs on the perfumery and the perfume industry? 🥺
ОтветитьPLEASE DUPE FOR Aqua Allegoria Flora Cherrysia Guerlain >???!!!
ОтветитьHave you done any videos on super small indie fragrance companies? My fave perfume oils have come from small brands like Wick Wish and Mad Labs Studios. Would love to hear your perspective on these small businesses
ОтветитьWow I learned so much from this video. I didn’t know the brands didn’t make their own perfumes and that their ingredients are secret. The bit about what’s behind reformulations was interesting as well. Thank you for these educational informative videos. Hope you can do more like these in the future where there is opportunity 😊
ОтветитьThanks, for this informative video, everybody should follow IFRA regulations or EU regulations
ОтветитьDo you have any info on how people say perfumes have "hormone disruptors" in them?
ОтветитьThank you !! Same types of fear mongering and shady language like “ clean” or “ green” happen all across the beauty industry as you know. So gross
ОтветитьGreat video. That is wonderful that animals are not being harmed.
Ответитьi love you channel but please please i beg you, don't start doing the prostitution like most reviewers....most of them accept money to eat shit about clone houses etc...be yourself...
ОтветитьEmma, I absolutely love your videos - can see your passion and knowledge really shine through in each video. Very refreshing type of content as most reviewers are now shills who get free bottles and give biased info/reviews - happy to say i've subscribed!
ОтветитьYou are a star. Im learning so much. Thanks for sharing your knowledge ❤
ОтветитьI think your information is fascinating. I wish these fragrance brands (Guerlain, Christian Dior, Chanel, YSL, Hermès, etc.) would unite in a reasonable defiance of IFRA. Not saying “don’t care,” but say: “It’s out of control. You were testing all these things in the 90’s and giving us the green light back then. How much more harmful could these things be 20 years later? We the above brands are in agreement that we are going back to the IFRA regulations we abided by in (for instance) 1996.
Any regulations after 1996, we are ignoring from here on out!!”
I would be so happy!!
In the past few years, I have gone over more and more to purchasing vintage versions. They’re the brands and packaging and the very same fragrances I wore back in the 1990’s and I never had a reaction to them back then, so they’re most likely fine for me now and plus they tend to last longer and smell “deeper.”
Anyway— your channel is great!
How could we fragrance fanatics politely get the word out to our favorite perfume houses or more like their parent conglomerate CEOs that we don’t want our fragrances to be continually diluted as has been the trend for the last 10 plus years. WE WOULD HAPPILY PAY MORE to have the original strength/concentrations that were produced when we fell in love with these magnificent creations!
ОтветитьIFRA Is a private Organisation ITS the Same Like a Mafia
ОтветитьDo perfumes use insect excretions? They are animals and I have seen them listed as notes but don't know if they still do use it
ОтветитьWhat is your Favourite Concentration for Perfumes.... ?
The Best Projection with Best Lasting Concentration Range....
Thank you. I trust your opinion because you're always seeking to learn more and willing to share even when you're not an "expert," and because you're not beholden to a brand or house or company/school, your perspective is coming from a free agent. Add to that your emphasis on the power of perfume brands to market standards of beauty that are inclusive and diverse tells me you care ahout the messaging. 💕
