I'm just pissed because betraying Reed and Alex is the only way to make sure Alex survives. If you don't betray them so mi warns kurt and he kills her.

The first time I did these missions in Phantom Liberty I went ahead with So Mi as I thought I was helping her (and I'm a sucker for cute asian girls). However, in doing that you're playing right into Mister Blue Eyes' hands and deliver a very dangerous AI from beyond the Blackwall to him. Effectively you're not really helping So Mi, you're actually helping the Songbird-AI who was using So Mi's body as a host.

Additionally the main story also feels much shorter if you side with Songbird; while helping out Reed gives you a much more interesting storyline as well as some incredibly cool crafting specs from the Militech facility (which feels like playing Alien:Isolation).

So yeah, in the end there really are no happy endings either way and 'betraying' So Mi while working with her in the lab leads to the most interesting storyline imo. Now Myers may get pissed off depending on your final decision but she's basically your basic evil corpo b[tch anyways.

Kinda really shows how much of a POS Panam really was. Such a childish mindset. V literally turned her life around and instead of trying to find out what happened to her, just abandons her and to add salt in the wound, totally refuses to even speak to her. V was nothing but a tool to Panam.

Wow. I got two of the endings. The first was to help Songbird and that was the best ending from PL in my opinion. Basically, you're back to square one. I had no idea helping Reed could end up with all those other endings. I did the ending with V getting cured, but that is the worst of all the endings in my opinion. Worse than the default ending going with Arasaka (2nd worst ending now) and suicide (3rd worst ending now).

It's one thing to not be able to use cyberware anymore, but the fact "everyone" is doing poorly, hates V or treats V badly now is insane. Goes to show Panam's and Judy's true colors. Viktor and Misty are decent, but a bit tough on V and seem a little cold. V seemed to me, at least with my choices very loyal, generous and helpful. No one was there for him/her when out of a coma. Could you imagine everyone you care about turning their back on you when waking from a coma?

Awesome game. Garbage endings. They really screwed the pooch on the Aldecado and Space Casino endings which could have been awesome. I rather have gotten that than the police system and vehicle battle system. This reminds me of Mass Effect 3 endings. A few flavors of pretty much the same trash. Yay!

Best video I've watched regarding the choices. Sure, there are spoilers but I don't mind. But is a hard choice.

Dealing with Cerberus and ending So Mi or saving her and have the worst fate (in a city so violent, without any modifications, you're good as dead) AND in the process Alex dies too, or Siding with So Mi and killing Reed. I don't like any of them.

Arguably, the best thing to do is to trigger the Phantom Liberty quest and then walk away from it. The shuttle crushes and there is nobody to save the b*tch president. And everyone else stay alive. Reed and Alex never get called. The two homeless guys who join the Dogtown apartment never get to meet the president and thus they stay alive. The French netrunners stay alive, too.

Regarding the wild dog and bald eagle iconics.

You can get them when you side with So Mi.
That side of the quest has Alex kill Kurt Hansen and So Mi after taking some detours is near the room where he died.
The quest marker does tell you to go straight to the exit and does not even list the corpse as an optional objective, though.

Sadly Fang is not on his body and I couldn't find it in the room.

Anyone who betrays songbird is playing the game blind, Johnny literally warns you about these people every chance he gets and just before the BIG mission you see the sibling being killed like the "ranyon" they are. So sure... ignore all the red flags I guess.

I Sided with Reed from the beginning. Think about it. Reed has Songbird's interests at heart, even though Songbird doesn't see it that way. Reed even disagrees with President Myers and is outright hostile to how she treated him in past ops and in the case of Songbird too. Side with Songbird and you get an even worse choice, handing her over to Mr. Blue Eyes (who already had a hand in messing with the Peralez's Minds) using the lunar transport to do who knows what and V doesn't get the cure along with having to Zero one of Songbird's greatest allies despite not being in the right mind to say so; Reed. The only alternative at that point is to betray songbird at the very end and give her up to Myers which is the single most scumbag choice you could make out of all the endings.
By siding with Reed, Songbird might be hostile to you at first, but at least you try to stop the Blackwall AI that is running rampant in her systems and changing her personality in the same way Johnny is changing V; just through different means. That means that despite "betraying" Songbird's plan, you are in fact ending up siding with the one person that could help Songbird. Even if you don't end Songbird it is still a better ending than either of the two endings where you side with Songbird especially since Reed is a supporter of Songbird, even though she doesn't see it that way.
Whether you end songbird in that case or not depends on a few factors of your V:
1. If your V doesn't believe in euthanasia, even if it means powerful Blackwall AIs will roam free that will pose a threat to the free world if they take over Songbird completely.
2. If your V is willing to sacrifice Songbird's Wellbeing and the World's security against the Blackwall AI's for a procedure that will save your life.
3. If your V has a good relationship with Johnny or Not and if they are or are not a corpo. (Johnny Hates Corpos, even ex corpos - especially from arasaka and if you are not on good terms, turning songbird over to reed is a good choice for your wellbeing. Meanwhile if you are on good terms and still are a corpo, then you might want to consider zeroing Songbird. On the other hand you could still have Johnny accept your decision to turn over songbird and do the procedure with tact if you are in a good enough relationship with him.)
4. Also consider the fact that with the right dialogue choices, Reed will actually thank V in the end for ending Songbird's life as "it was the right thing to do" even though he blames himself and Myers hates you for it along with professionally, Reed saying that you are considered a compromised asset and are not worth diddly squat to Langley/President Myers. Reed in that ending doesn't like that you ended Songbird's life, but understands it was for the greater good and it was the right choice under the circumstances; personal feelings aside. Turning her over to Myers makes the conversation with Reed after far more ambiguous. Reed is happier about the fact that songbird is alive and well, tantamount to his personal feelings for Songbird, however he doesn't like that she has to go back to work for Myers and Songbird should have been given the freedom to choose. As a professional though, he couldn't disobey Langley and Myers, despite not agreeing with where songbird ended up; back in the lab for the blackwall program Myers is on about and therefore in that capacity has to thank V for letting him take songbird back to Myers in spite of his personal feelings on the matter.

[SPOILERS]
If you chooses to betray Songbird, you can still avoid the PL worst ending by taking one of the original/traditional endings. Much better than calling Reed and then becomeing an NPC after 2 years in a coma.
You can even help Songbird to escape, and then call up Reed to tell him to pick up Songbird, after she reveals to you that her original offer was a lie and that she always intended to betray you. At this point V can ignore Reed's offer and take one of the traditional endings.
The NUSA/Reed ending is not only the worst possible ending, it is the one that you have to work hardest for. Definitely better to choose one of the traditional 3 good endings(i.e. Alcaldos, Rogue or Secret).

I agree wholeheartedly that betray Songbird gives the best rewards/ more intense outcome but at the cost of a sad depressing ending. On my first walk through I betrayed Reeds and it was "Nice" on this one I got to kill Hansen (and avenge Alex🥲) Take on Maxtac?! And that stupid spider mech killed me several times 😂😂 but the final cutscenes were gut punching and almost cry by the time it was just Reeds and me at the border dessert

having the cure is useless if you have no implants, no street cred and all friends/lovers moved on. Better give the cure to someone who can really benefit it.

and reed may be dead but finally free from guilt and being a lap dog from myers, also Alex can have her retirement.

You can betray Reed, escape the stadium with Song, and in the process double back to Hanson’s corpse to retrieve his iconic weapons. You don’t have to kill him yourself. I forget exactly where in the escape you have to go off route, but it’s either just before you retrieve your weapons, or just after. Just take the time to explore on the way through and you’ll find your way back to Hanson’s lounge and his body.

I fully understand where you're coming from. The ending is hard to watch. It's humiliating and it just doesn't feel great or fulfilling at first.

However, I'm convinced that betraying Songbird (twice) does give us the deepest, most realistic outcome. I think it offered us an outcome that we didn't have before. In my opinion, this ending is amazing, actually. It is realistic, heartbreaking, and bittersweet. The most definitive ending of Cyberpunk 2077.

You're finally living the life of a (below) average citizen in a absolute bonkers world. I appreciate the humility in the storytelling and the choices they've made to accomplish this unique ending.

To write something like this, you'll have to understand life's consequences more than anything. I can respect their decision here. Giving us a whole new ending to an already amazing storyline.

Betraying songbird and killing her is the best thing because 1. She is been controlled by the Black wall and Mr bleu eyes thats why you keep seeing him at the airport and he is the one that set songbird to go to the moon, if you know the Cyberpunk lore thats not really a good thing and you know who/what he really is he is not a good guy... 2. Killing her (which was her wish i didnt want to kill her) will set her AND reed free...1. because Reed will get fired by the NUSA now wont have anything to live for after talking to him you will truly see thats the 1st time that he is actually FREE and happy in the game....2 . Songbird wont be taking advantage of and used as a weapon by anyone else NOT by Myers Not by Reed Not by Mr Blue Eyes and the Blackwall completely took over her body....and you miss out on the sickest moments in the game...fighting Hansen...fighting the Maxtac...and being chase by the Black Wall robot.

V getting the relic out actually is the second best ending. They get a new life in anonymity and are able to do things they want to do. They still have the eddies they've accumulated during the story, in my case 5 million, the cars and so on. So, they can become a fixer or anything. For corpo V joining FIA would be the perfect ending. Anyways, a clean slate, new start. Rough in the beginning, but still.

Best ending is the Another Dawn where Johnny gets V's body. During V's journey both Johnny and V have been the wisened old man from the Hero's Journey. Both have taught each other, both have grown. For the first time in his life Johnny actually has a chance... V on the other hand has died in the beginning and now gets to become something bigger, join the "Force". It's sort of the A New Hope turned on its head.

My argument against this is theory based. If cyberpunk sequals, i think about how v will be portrayed. I dont think v will kill off johnny in the cure ending through reed. V is one of the few ppl on the planet who would be able to sympathize with so mi and vice versa. V would also re-enter the mega corp lifestyle bc the nusa operates exactly like a corp through the whims of meyers. After what v went through, i doubt v would trust the corpos.

In the sun and reqper endings, v goes into space on one last gig, dont u think v would have a runner covering his back? Where can u find a netrunner in orbit. Well so mi happens to be up there already

The dlc ending is depressing as hell. Wish I could go back and help Songbird and send her to space. The only reason I didn't do that was because I wanted to see the dlc ending which requires both of those two to be alive. But idk, I did do that saving Songbird space choice but as far as I know nothing else was going to happen after that. Maybe Songbird would have popped in the credits like the other characters do?????, with the normal endings. But if nothing changes then I'm not really missing out on anything. Here's hoping Cyberpunk 2 will do things right first try lol.

I love how they play with your feelings here. You can side with Reed (somewhat trustworthy - shows he's loyal to his ideals and people if you're on his side) and live, do what you'd prioritise if it was your real life. So-mi isn't exactly anyone but a stranger.

Or you can do the hero thing people do in games and try to save So-mi, the relatable character in similar distress, who would 100% of the time put saving her own life above anyone else's. Her intentions are clear all along. To play 4d chess. Save herself. Maybe someone else along the way.

Anyway. Solo assault on Arasaka. Every time. But PL's Reed path is a great storyline.
