The one player from the 1987 Topps set which was loaded with former Rookie Card darlings of Clark, Canseco, McGwire, Greenwell, Joyner, Tartabull, Sierra, Incaviglia, Galarraga, Surhoff, Magadan, Jackson, Bonilla, Bonds, etc., who was the only one from this 1987 rookie card class to make the hall of fame... BARRY LARKIN unfortunately isn't in the OPC set. I remember in 1987 going to the SCD pre-online/internet mail order days and buying 50 count lots of so many rookie player cards and none of 'em panned out with longevity that stuck (darn PEDs!). I like the OPC set.

1987 Topps was the 1st box I ever opened. My mom took me to Price Club (a lot like Costco), and bought me a box.

I started collecting in 85, had tons from 85-94... Jordan rookies(5-from 87 fleer) complete sets...stickers... baseball and basketball big rookies...ALL burned in my boyhood home

1987 topps were the first packs I ever bought. I geeked out hard on the stats. I’m pretty sure if I studied in school that hard, I’d have been a doctor or rocket scientist 😂
