I proudly own ljn’s Friday the 13th
ОтветитьRIP
Jack Friedman (July 9, 1939 – May 3, 2010)
Jeez them games were terrible
ОтветитьI'm gonna dress up as an LJN game cartridge for Halloween! 😄 🤣 😂 😆
ОтветитьLjn made only one good game it was spirit of speed
ОтветитьDid you call the Karate Kid fairly easy?! You must be amazing at NES games.
ОтветитьDude founded ljn, thq and jakks pacific? Not a bad legacy.
ОтветитьLJN games were good imo. Karate Kid, Jaws, F13 are favorites from my childhood and still are to this day
ОтветитьAh, yes: the company everyone memes as the worst because of Bimmy Rolfe
ОтветитьHey look an AVGN reference I'm so original
ОтветитьThe AVGN should watch this
ОтветитьHappy Dino Month Guys
ОтветитьLmao shocker, biggest cities for gun crime fail again at gun legislation... Fucking Dems...
ОтветитьAnd now the ljn defender channel is gone
ОтветитьRest in piece Jack Freeman.
ОтветитьWell at least LJN published a decent game in the 90s Spider Man Maximum Carnage 😅😅
ОтветитьI love how it started out as a toy company before becoming a video-game company that makes crappy games. Sadly, the company closed down in the early 2000’s.
ОтветитьLJN should have never entered the video game market, they should have stayed a toy company
ОтветитьAh Acclaim Entertainment, now there's a name that with hindsight speaks of success.
ОтветитьOh god not LGN.
ОтветитьLaughing joking numnuts
ОтветитьGhey suck, aunt and uncle workd at kb, store had a fire they gave me box of 54 nes titles, most ljn. Almost the whole Discount bin.
Ответитьits weird knowing that THQ and Jack'sPacific are spiritual successors to LJN, I never realized how much the impact they had
ОтветитьI miss the LJN Defender (aka Cygnus Destroyer). I didn't like many of the games that he liked, but I find his videos entertaining. I understand he no longer enjoys making videos, but I wish that wasn't the case and I wish he continued making videos to this day.
ОтветитьJust catching up on this. Production quality on a 8 year old video is incredible!
ОтветитьNot here to bag on their games, as others have mentioned hundreds of times, but what I find particularly underwhelming is the story of LJN's name. I mean, really, his former boss's initials backwards?
Ответитьok
ОтветитьDidn’t know GH was from Kansas City. Go Royals! ❤
ОтветитьNowadays with mobile gaming being bigger than ever and physical toys selling less and less, I can definitely understand companies like LJN and THQ changing priorities. When big companies like those grow rapidly in first years; they want to keep growing or at the very least break even money-wise, when the toy line of those companies start to underperform or just didn't meet thier "expectations", they drop them like a rock.
ОтветитьWHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!?
ОтветитьI owned the T&C game. Growing up in Long Beach T&C was everywhere and you weren't cool unless you had a t-shirt from them. I had completely forgot about entertech but I did own a UZI version till the battery contacts rusted out. Good memories.
ОтветитьI always thought that water toy that squirts jelly from Rudolph and the Island of Misfit Toys was disturbing, but golly, Entertech ranks right up there with it. I wonder what would happen if these things were also loaded with jelly, but it's a sure bet that I hope they'd "jam."
ОтветитьLmao. I had one of those guns. It was so dope.
Ответитьhe made for wwe video games
ОтветитьWhat ljn is to video games, Schumacher is to Batman.
ОтветитьI love how they ban realistic looking toy guns but not actual guns 😂
ОтветитьHave you done a segment on color dreams? They had some of the worst games even worse than LJN
ОтветитьAh yes, AVGN's arch nemesis.
ОтветитьIt's quite obvious that Acclaim published Spirit of Speed: 1937 under the LJN name because they didn't want to tarnish the Acclaim name more than they already had. Another name Acclaim published games under was Flying Edge.
ОтветитьWhen I scroll down to the categories of the video, one of them is “James Rolfe”.
Touché.
LJN also scammed people out of their money by leaving fake reviews in Nintendo Power.
ОтветитьPeople in the comments are praising a company and guy that produced realistic looking water guns that got children killed and allowed criminals to rob by buying a cheaper alternative to a real gun? Seriously? "A brilliant entrepreneur"? "A successful toy company"? How about "money hungry people that didn't care about the ramifications of creating realistic toy guns for children"?
ОтветитьOf all the games they produced, the only ones I’ve played are Spider-man and the X-men: Arcade’s Revenge, and Maximum Carnage which were actually decent games in themselves.
ОтветитьKids "accidentally killed" by police, the US has a problem man...
ОтветитьSpirit of speed actually didn't have that bad of graphics for the time lol
ОтветитьUnsubscribed (I’m a Yankee fan sorry)
