Now imagine this spinning 150-200x faster and being as large as the moon.
Et voila, you just visualized what a neutron star looks like.

Assuming a radius of 1m, a SINGLE gram imbalance in this assembly rotating at over 150RPM will result in an imbalanced centripetal force of well over half a metric TON. Which means this ENTIRE assembly has to be balanced to within a MILLIGRAM in order to avoid any sort of imbalance resonances. Jesus.
