My mom is a nurse her opinion on things like chiropractors.

One of the things that annoys me about all this is that science really has given us all what would have for all of prior Human history appeared to be psychic super powers.
We can literally control the elements and speak to people on the other side of the world or fly like a bird, or speak to "magic" devices, make fire and light appear and disappear at will or move things we are no where near...there's no need to fake it people

It sucks that shows like Randi's won't exist anymore because it would be bad for ratings due to more people than ever believing in psychic powers. Now proving magic, and religion wrong with facts and evidence is considered offending someone's religion. Now it has become okay to dismiss logic, science, and evidence just by saying you don't feel something is true so it isn't.

My uncle had a serious heart condition and sought out a well known faith healer. He was “healed” and left a happy man. That is until he had a massive heart attack 3 weeks later. I would look forward to a few minutes alone with this individual, after which he could practice his healing abilities upon himself

Horoscopes are bullshit. Flat out. Many people who look into this stuff "professionally" do so at a much more specific level, though.

I'm not defending astrology, as I don't really believe in it. I am saying, however, that people love to dump on it based off of things like daily horoscopes, when many use much more precise methods that are infinitely more complex than the generic garbage people think they use. Whether or not what these complicated things like natal charts say is true or not is beyond what I can say, since I obviously can't know that either way. I just think if you're going to shit on something, you have to know that thing somewhat in-depth first: which many don't. Not saying this about this channel specifically, just throwing it out there in general.

I do believe that many of these things play off the generic and relatable things to people and deceive people via confirmation bias, among other things. I think if there were such things as psychic powers and astrology as we think of it, it would be an especially concise way to go about it that we either don't have or know yet, or that is blown off as something else hidden away in a culture's closet somewhere. Who really knows? As of right now, though, most of this can't be proven or hasn't been, by any means we have had available.

Law enforcement, prison system, parole system, laws in general, the fact that they'd rather give p3dos and murderers a slap on the wrist; but force people who get in trouble for weed to serve their 9+ year parole (not to mention the several-year prison sentence) not just once, but TWICE because the parole head is obsessed with taking you down and is allowed to say they "didn't like how you completed it the first around," but give no solid, enforceable reason. The vast majority of those in any form of authority are highly racist and classist. Ada County in particular HATES the homeless and unfortunate, and if you're black or brown, you're doubly screwed. The list goes on. Idaho is a gorgeous place and used to be affordable to live in, but it's a cesspit of bad politics and horrible people running the place now, and has been for the last 20+ years. Idaho is Little Texas, and I've been saying that for decades now, with their shit takes and horrible biases that literally ruin peoples' lives (I now live in Texas, unfortunately, with no way to leave anytime soon, so I have some idea). If you catch anyone's interest that has power, you can guarantee you won't be able to find work or properly deal with the consequences, legally. They'll make sure of it. It's highly corrupt. So... I'm not surprised at all how twisted their backwater redneck bullshit is when it comes to the State level. That's coming from an original Idahoan turned unwilling Texan.
