It is NOT the Indian version of a bullet train :) The train runs a max 160 kmph. And average speeds are 100 kmph. Change your travel agent.

How abt posting that travel agent’s Name, business name and his phone number to alert other travellers. Best is to purchase your ticket directly from Indian railway website.

IRCTC needs to update their application and website so that foreigners can book tickets with ease without compromising on security...and they need to advertise themselves in all airports & railway stations so that the foreigners visiting our country can avoid these type of scams...

This happens everywhere in the world including USA. Easiest way of making sure it doesn't happen to you, is to go on Google and search "government website for Indian/any country's railway(or aviation or tourism etc) and see if you can buy tickets online. If not you can go to the railway station or the airport ect and buy tickets directly.

These Vande Bharat trains are Semi High Speed trains for faster connectivity between cities.

never never book from agents simply book from irctc apps or from railway station counters

Why didn't you tell the ticket collector to upgrade you. If there were vacant seats he would just charge a fee and let you in.

Bro .. in India you don't need to book tickets through an agent The IRCTC app will be helpful for you for booking next time. We are really feeling bad that happened with you guys. Indian railways will help you and Indian people will help you. All Indians are not bad. We always welcome foreigners in India Because we believe in "Atithi devo bhav."

Executive class chair revolve to 180 degrees so that u can enjoy the view from windows

always try booking online by YOURSELF before you go to agent ....there is somethinkg called TATKAL where you canbook tcket one day before your jouney

I think whole train is AC.. One is economy 3/2 and other is Executive class with sitting 2/2.
Feel bad for u and shame for agents who scammed u. But good to see u got 2/2 seats. Rest all is same in both classes except seating comfort.

Delhi is frauds capital i have been there once and i had very very bad experience i lost my phones and purse by agents.
