I tried 12-35, 35-100, 10-25, 25-50 on Sony apsc camera with a dummy battery. Yes I can not change aperture or even adjust manual focus because it is focus by wire not true mechanical focus ring. However I can still test out the image circle covering. Amd I find all these high end m4/3 zooms once you just zoomed in a bit, the black edge will be gone. In my Sony camera, clear image zoom at 1.2x can get rid the black edge at wide end. And once you zoom in, you do not even need crop, they can cover apsc sensor for at least 80% of the zoom range.
ОтветитьVery rookie question. Would you say that in your shoots and tests that you’d say that the Voigtlanders all have consistent looks and exposures across the board given that they are F Stops and not T stops. As in; is the exposure at 0.95 the same on the 17.5 the same as it is on the 25, 10.5 and 42.5? Curious to know. Thank you
ОтветитьI was wondering if using my Lomo Anamorphics with a oct19 to m43 adaptor will work fine with the zcam?
ОтветитьThis was the best review I’ve ever seen on this camera, or any for that matter!
ОтветитьAs an owner of the voigtlander lenses this is finally the camera review I’ve been looking for!
Ответитьmy man, is possible for you to test the 12-100mm F4 on it?
Ответитьgood review, terrible sound mixing.
Ответить... and you can carry it in your PORT!
ОтветитьThe only disadvantage with ZCAM is you cannot load luts into the camera as a view assist or as a baked in profile for fast turn arounds.
ОтветитьYou can adapt MFT lenses onto E-Mount using the Fotodiox adapter. My Voiglander F0.95 MFT lenses covers 1.6x, so on Sony APS-C you need to use clear image zoom to punch into 1.6x to make it work.
ОтветитьI wonder how this camera would handle mft cinema lenses.
ОтветитьCame here from Kosmusic's channel and subscribed. Great presentation and review, even though I don't know much about lenses, very interesting!
ОтветитьAmazing video👍🏻💐
ОтветитьLove the stylistic presentation and real world examples. Have you had a chance to use Sirui's anamorphic lenses on the Z-cam? The anamorphic line unfortunately is not available in all mounts, and the current super35 E-mount option isn't great, which leads me to think the best option would be to purchase them in m43 mount and use it on something like a Z-cam with interchangeable mounts.
ОтветитьWow this is crazy! Great content man, subbing! I have my cherished set of 4 Voigtlander's and this makes me so happy to see a further future proofing of these amazing lenses!
ОтветитьKOSMusic brought me here. Honestly I understood almost none of it. Although the breakdown going from raw to fully graded, was pretty interesting.
ОтветитьGreat video!! I've got a set of voigtlanders and I'm thinking about getting the s6 of they performed well. Have you done any more works with them? Thanks so much
Ответитьgreat seeing another art focused filmmaking channel on yt, i subscribed asap. Just had a question to ask u. I am buying bmpcc4k and thinking of buying 10.5, 25 and 60 mm voigtlander. I wanted to just get a confirmation whether those m43 lenses will be any good on arri, red or sony fx series if i use them in future?
ОтветитьMan , awesome content, keep going
ОтветитьAmazing video!
ОтветитьGreat video :-)
ОтветитьAs usual, your videos are really impressive. And I had this one in my watch later for far too long. I was actually close to buying the Super Nokton a few weeks ago. I thought maybe it would be featured here as well.
MFT has a flange distance that's more than some of the modern mounts (E,Z,RF,L...) So it's not the greatest option anymore. Very few camera allow to remove the mounting plate like the one you tested here. I think Kinefinity is also one where you can get really close to 0 flange. Which allows for much more interesting lenses.
There is a special case for MFT and super35 tho, a camcorder from JVC. Which has a larger than MFT sensor. So it's not completely uncharted territory.
Apart from the 2nd shot (for reasons unclear to me), your creative scene does really look straight out off the movie.
The 10.5 on this sensor size (especially on the winder crop) does make a very compelling ultra wide. Yet I am still hopeful for the 6mm from LAOWA. Otherwise the 7.5mm might end up on my camera.
In terms of coverage. A bit of falloff actually looks great, however it gets really bad when you put smaller lenses on larger sensors, and get really harsh corners or reflections outside the usual image circle. Some of the 16mm c mount lenses I had have this issue and are useless on MFT (or even Panasonic GX9 4K crop/bmpcc digital Super16 size), while a few select ones cover MFT just fine with a bit of funky stuff towards the edges, but it's part of the look to me.
GREAT CONTENT.. Is this lens doesn't crop at all on E2S6? i mean you don't see any vignetting at all? .. thank you so much.
ОтветитьLoved the scientific breakdown sir! The 10.5mm looks beautiful! Any other wide angle alternatives you might suggest for the S6? Much obliged
ОтветитьSo interesting. I own 3 VL lenses and considering the 29mm (thx to your review).
Ответить🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ответитьvery thank you....... Can the Panasonic 4/3 lens be used on z cam s6 correctly? like Panasonic 12-35 ,35 -100???
ОтветитьOmg thank you. I am coming from a GH4 and was debating getting the ZCam e2 since I have mft lenses and metabones speed booster and ef lenses. Does anyone know if the sirui anamorphic rear element is big enough for the z cam ef mount? I think the anamorphic lenses are ef-m but I know some ef-m lenses will mount.
ОтветитьThis is an amazing video, i want it to ask you a small question.. Im planing to get the Sirui 24mm f2.8 Anamorphic Lens, does the E2S6 gonna cover the whole field of view? do i will get the whole 24mm?.. thank you so much for this amazing content you do.
ОтветитьThanks for the video. Just to confirm you’re saying that the Voigtlanders, even the 10.5mm will cover the super 35 sensor?
ОтветитьWould be curious to now how Meike MFT or DZOFilm MFT lenses perform on the E2-S6!
ОтветитьSo far we are just shooting using the ZRAW and editing in Resolve. We are editing with the Proxy files and we will convert the needed files using the Zcam tool to DNX HD 444 to be graded in Resolve. It is just far too simple of workflow and you can edit with anything.
ОтветитьMan, I swear you could be a voice over talent for movie trailers! Reminds me of Don LaFontaine. Good content by the way, I subd.
ОтветитьI think it’s time for a 45 minute cinematic intro. The people are ready
Ответитьyour work is amazing
Ответить👍🏾🙏🏾
Ответитьsick intro
ОтветитьExcellent work! That is so detailed I love it.
ОтветитьAmazing content! But soooo long intro ... don't do it, everyone stops to watch after 10sec.
ОтветитьAwesome video, I learned a lot from it, thanks!!
ОтветитьAmazing as always!!
ОтветитьGreat job! Can you do more content over other lenses for Z cam
ОтветитьNot sure if i posted this twice ... but this guy deserves way more subscribers.
ОтветитьNice work! Hope to see more stuff like this, you just gained a subscriber! But please check your audio levels. For me the intro/outro music was way way louder than your voice.
ОтветитьWhile I am more into photography, I really enjoy your videos and a lot of the learnings around lenses, color and so on are similar! Great work!
ОтветитьHave you tried the Blackmagic cameras? Pocket 4K/6K, even the original Pocket or Micro Cinema Camera?
ОтветитьThere's already a Super 35 video camera with a M43 mount. It's called the JVC LS300 and it came out a few years ago.
