Sonos Roam: Best mini wireless speaker ever?

DO NOT BUY- Good sound quality but difficult set up and connectivity issues. Wort thing is that after a couple of months the speakers will not connect to the app and you have to use the app to listen to any music. Just trashed over $1k in speakers and customer service did not respond for months after the 5 speakers I had bought had been in the landfill. Buy anything else that connects directly with Bluetooth.

It sounded good in the Best Buy store. I took it home. Was not able to get it to connect to my wifes I phone. After 1 hour on the phone with customer service ( in Philippines?) still did not connect. Took it back and bought the I pod mini.

is it better than a macbook pro 14" sound?

Bought for $300 last long for 2 and half year. Sonos app show battery depleted and direct power to speaker but completely dead. I would not recommend for short life. Now I am holding like a waste.

Anyone know if you can turn it on and off with the app? We want to put it on top of our kitchen cabinets and don't want to climb up every time we need to turn it on or off.

I recommend NOT buying this product. A little out of warranty, mine is dead with a solid orange light. No way to reboot. This is becoming a more common problem if you search online.

How does it match up with the UE Boom? Boom is the best sounding portable speaker, in my opinion, curious how this stacks up with it if anyone can compare

When I saw sonos bt portable speaker. It definitely peaked my interest. , but I’m sure the soundbar Community is well aware and can pin point the advantages of it. •Being listed at 200$ is a big negative. I know sonos is big time in sound & sound bars etc , it’s not mentioned much in the outdoor average-good sound quality speaker community though. . I’m sure it makes more sense to everyone with a sonos sound bar And those that are used to the setup and that speaker pairing tech it has. I’m sure it comes in handy. I wouldn’t even really compare it to the sony or jbl styles. But 200$ for this sonos speaker I can’t… I’d rather & did go to amazon and grab the brand new Soundcore-by anker •motion boom plus. $179. With my coupon for 38 offjust released a 179$. (Lucky me I got the coupon 145$. off). It’s an 80w speaker 2 30w woofers with 10w tweeters ip67 waterproof. Really curious to see how it would compare to the Bose soundlink mini which in my experience is the ABSOLUTE best sounding Bluetooth speaker out there.

This is the stupidest speaker I’ve ever had. Every time I try to use is it takes 35 minutes to connect to my phone. Such a piece of crap. Battery is always dead.

Bought one today, what a pita to set up. I'll have to wait till tomorrow to try again - madness. Requires WiFi, app, Sonos account (absolutely will not email me a link to update my password). Underwhelmed doesn't come close - I wonder what it sounds like.

I sold my homepod mini and took a sonos roam instead...very happy with sonos

Disconnects from the Sonos system all the time

I helped my parents, who have never streamed before, set it up. They now use it with free Apple music local radio stations as a first step, and love it. It does sound well for it’s size in small rooms at low volume. I personally detest sound products that require setting up a login, and prefer the less featured Stockwell 2.

As a long time Sonos user I will never buy one of their products again.

Do not ever buy sonos unless you want to spend a lot of time re connecting them, the sound is good, but definitely not worth the headaches of the time you have to spend, it almost seems like it’s every time you got company, for the price not worth it, I’ve did everything got a boost, new router, we have hi speed the highest you can get, fibre optics cable.

Which one is better
