Is there a known reason why higher orbitals are not all spherical in shape just like 1s but larger in radius?

Wait, what? So you're telling me that the atom models that they taught me at school 45 years ago that looked like little planets with orbiting moons in a perfectly circular path are wrong?

I'm happy that the electrons in me know this. Because I did not understand this good presentation.

Flashbacks to my chemistry degree course - when I discovered what I'd learned in school was just plain wrong, and got to learn a whole new system

В этой демонстраци заключается принцип запутанности и суперпозиции квантовых вычислений? Так ли это?

ive always wondered if the model breaks down if you measure the electron at a frame rate where the frame rate is the speed of light and each measurement in a 3d space is plank time. smallest slice of time. would then maybe the motion of the electron seem to be more linear rather than a probability cloud? maybe we see this cloud because we cannot measure the absurd speeds of this thing as the frame rate is so much slower than the speed of the electron it gives us the appearance of being "random" with this probability density.

The orbit is of course is what large worlds ingage in and it requires gravity . But at this level gravity doesn't exist and the orbit is caused by electrical attraction ? Somewhere these have to collide 😊
