Canola: What the Heck Is It?

I bought a gallon of canola oil to fry potatoes, I ended up throwing the fries away and on my way out I threw the oil in the garbage. Stay away from this rancid oil unless you eat anything. Good and honest video.

Yea but how tf one of the most unsaturated oils is sold as fucking cooking oil knowing that unsaturated fat oxidises the easies when heated and releases cancerous aldehydes on the food? “Nutrition” and the food industry are hell.

Canola oil is toxic.

Just because it’s low doesn’t mean it’s not carcinogenic, check the stats on heart disease after oils like this were introduced, then before, when only butter was used; almost nonexistent ;)

I traveled from Neepawa to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and I saw the thousand and thousand of acres planted with CANOLA on both sides of the highway.

My understanding is that this is one of the bad oils to use.

It still gives you heart damage.

Canola oil is considered by many to be very unhealthy because it is highly processed and it is high in Omega 6.

I ditched Canola and other vegetable oils a long time ago and only use EVOO, Bacon grease or Butter.

So it's a highly processed oil. Pass.

Canola is pronounced in a Swedish accent comes out as kanula which means to have sex. I wonder if they knew that when they made up the name canola.

It's taken me ages to find that rapeseed oil isn't rapeseed oil. All I wanted was the smoke point of rapeseed oil, why s*d about with some fancy name.

In Canada I think about 95% of Soybean is also grown from GMO seed.

Yummy , GMO along with Hexane solvent used to get every last drop out of these seeds , can't wait to have a nice glassfull!!!😩

Canola oil is literally toxic. Canola, and all those vegetable oils are all really bad for consumption.

Olive oil(s), black see oil, red palm oil, coconut oil, avocado oil are tops.

I think it's unfortunate that we have to label the names of things as "unfortunate", just to make people feel better about homonyms.

From what I understand, Canola is considered bad for you, mainly because it contains trans fats.

I'm a retired public school teacher and one of the long-term impacts we wanted with all students is the culturing of Life Long Learning! Certainly skills beyond HS graduation/diploma.
And today, though I have 2 Master's degrees, I learned I knew nothing about Canola oil - that I've used for popcorn, etc. for decades - but gleaned some nice quick factoids about it from this video! Thanks! Can we all just shout a big 'Woot-Woot!' (If so I'll see if coach will get some balls out & let us shoot some hoops on the court until 2 mins before the 3rd-hour bell!)

Canola, like all the other seed oils, is one of the worst things you can put into your body.
