I will upgrade from i7-6700k someday when Intel give some like 14900k with maximum <90w TDP.
ОтветитьNot tested Flight Simulator. Test failed.
ОтветитьSo...I should pair a 7800X3D with a 4090?
ОтветитьI hope they manage to put several more P cores in the future - the E cores are taking up valuable space for gaming.
ОтветитьA disadvantage of the 7800X3D is that AM5 boot times can be quite high if you enable EXPO and let memory training rerun each time. (There is a setting in the bios to skip retraining which seems to alleviate this.)
I thought my PC had broken when I turned it on the day after finishing the build and it took so much longer than what I thought was "normal" to boot, with the RAM and CPU debug lights on, making me think something had gone wrong.
Don’t listen to these guys. They are all about whatever’s cheaper and to be honest I bought a AMD 7800x3d 70c at idle got the 14900k its way better
Ответить14900k is NOT gaming CPU but 7800X3D is... in multithread performance is 7800X3D garbage, ur comparing 2 different use cases
ОтветитьMy Intel Core i7-5930k died on me after a constant OC for 9 good years. As someone who's been with the blue team since I first assembled my PC back in 2000s I was torn between Intel Core i9-14900k and AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D but then I found this 7800X3D everything is perfect for me since I mostly game and typing work on my rig.
So I decided to change to AMD team, got the system up and running and damn this bad boy doesn't dissapoint.
So basically Ryzen 7 7800X3D for the win. Not surprised. I switched to Ryzen 5 years ago.
Ответитьi mainly play cs2 competitively and want to start streaming on twitch. Other games i play are valorant, quake champions, battlefield 5, and want to buy cyberpunk. I would probably would use for 3 years or longer. I have a 1440p monitor, 165hz and plan on getting a 1440p 240hz or higher. Which one?
Ответитьintel fans are prob sad
ОтветитьBasically amd has been on top for a while and it looks like they're gonna stay there for a while
Ответитьfrom R7 1700 to R7 7800 X3D, night and day difference
ОтветитьI wonder how my 7900x overclocked to 5.6GHz all cores (all the time) on 6200MHz cl32 memory (and tightened subtimings) would match up. That's a hefty 600MHz and 4 extra core advantage! It should be faster in some games. It feels amazing on the 4090/4K240Hz. 64MB of level 3 cache it has is same as 7950x V 96MB of the 7800x3d. In UK the14700k/7900x/7800x3d are approx same price.
ОтветитьSo got a question, already saw the video. Lets say I want to stream, edit and game, do I stay with the 14900K/13900K or 7800x3d?
Still a bit confused, but want to make the correct decision.
14900k is king for Photo Editing and Music Production . If that's more important than games and electricity consumption, the choice is clear - 14900k.
ОтветитьCertainly sounds like you're making an excuse every time AMD beats Intel. Kind of sad to see considering you should be completely uninvested in the results.
Ответитьwould it be worth upgrading to the 7800x3d from an i-7 10700k?
ОтветитьSeems to be a little AMD bias benchmarks as most of the games are console ports. It weird that they are also its not memory sensitive but yet Jay went from an AMD to intel just for that reason.
ОтветитьJust went from a 12900k to the 7800x3d, I don't think I can go back to intel if amd keeps pumping out x3d chips like this...
ОтветитьWich is the easiet one to overclock?
ОтветитьDoes AMD use FEWER checksums than Intel? Do they produce more BLUE SCREENS then Intel?
ОтветитьLove the 7800x3d but its not the best for overclocking.
ОтветитьNice video 😂😂😂
I have 4070ti and 13900ks fps
Cb2077 I have 185 fps and some other games I have more than x3d and 14900k interest video
I bought the i9 14900k and i feel scammed. Could have gotten the latest amd CPU, have better temps, better performance, more cache and spent way less.
ОтветитьThe only time the Intel chip would be better is if your non-gaming work is actually CPU intensive. I have nothing non-gaming that needs a lot of cores. Visio? Word, Outlook? Chrome? Nothing I use that is non gaming needs more than a quad core.
ОтветитьMy PC specs are:
MSI B650 TOMAHAWK Wi-Fi
Ryzen 9 7900x 12C/24T
MSI RX 7900 XT 20GBs
Corsair Vengeance 2x16GBs 6000MHz DDR5
My old build:
MSI B450 TOMAHAWK
Ryzen 5 2600 6C/12T
Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 2060 6GBs
Corsair Vengeance 2x8GBs 3200MHz DDR4
Dumb review where is editing/rendering?
Ответитьcan anyone explain to me how the 14900k a cpu that cost $250 dollars more (CAD) is preforming less than a cpu that's much cheaper? I'm building my first pc so i thought i'd get the 14900k but after this video I'm saving myself 250 bucks.
Ответить7800x3d is only one able to handle Star Citizen, that realy strong
ОтветитьPersonally i would go with the Ryzen i9 14950kfx3d
ОтветитьWhy is nobody measuring idle power consumption anymore? Arguably more important for most people. Here you go for a potential disadvantage.
Ответитьthanks for this. have been on the fence between these 2 and have spent days watching videos leaning more towards the ryzen and now i will bite the bullet and order it and the new mobo. many thanks awsome video and extremly helpful
ОтветитьIf your problem is heat, just make a better cooling, but if your problem is performace, throw it and buy a new one haha
ОтветитьWas just watching Jay's video about why he changed from the AMD 7800X3D to an Intel cpu, and he talks about memory stability issues esp with 6000mhz memory, esp noticeable on non-gaming tsk or multitasking, did you run into that?
ОтветитьWhile it is a bit of a niche genre, I'm surprised you didn't break out any simulation games like Factorio, Dyson Sphere Program or City Skylines. The 3d cache helps a lot in those games from what I've heard.
ОтветитьNo idea how people still play games in 1080P on PC’s. It’s beyond hideous. May as well be testing 486DX2’s on 1024x768 monitors. The two resolutions look similar.
ОтветитьIve been vonsidering a cpu upgrade from a 10900k. Its great but i play alot of mmos. That 3d cache is a very nice thing ro have. Even if the 14900k was 15% faster at this point id still go for a 7800x3d just for the am5. That upgrade path is very valueable. Fact that new am4 cpu is coming out 8 years after am4s release means i wont be buying another new mobo in 3 years if i wanna upgrade cpu
ОтветитьWould be great if you guys could do some build videos as well, low, medium and high price builds that you would go with, would be fantastic too see what you would go with.
Ответитьi went with an i7-13700k when i built my pc with my 7900 xtx, i wish i had done more research and chose the 7800x3d instead.
ОтветитьThe only down fall I see with the AMD 7800x3d is they still use pins on the back of the CPU which have a fairly high probability of pins being bent and/or breaking off if you need to re-socket it for a MB RMA or other reasons. Other than that, for almost everyone looking to upgrade from older gens, the AMD 7800x3d is the best choice out there.
Ответитьupgrading from a 10700 to a 7800 x3d worth it ?
Ответитьthis testing method has a few flaws.
ОтветитьSuch careful walking around the fact the i9 is shit, just say it man :)
ОтветитьMy prebuilt has 14900 but honestly they’re close enough I’m not worried about it
ОтветитьI'm still running a A10-7700K FM2+ in my HTPC.
Ответитьsame price as a 13900k where i'm at looks like a nobrainer for gaming
Ответить
