Does that type of Damascus rust or chip more than m390?

Anyone have an estimated idea on how long after your pre-order will it take before they ship out? That will be what kills me. Geez I hope it's not longer than 6-8 weeks

Such a great innovation this knife is with how the magnets are used in the making of this knife along with great build quality. There's only one problem I can see it's the magnets attraction of metal particles over time which im sure can be taken care of along with regular maintenance just something to be aware of when sharpening or in an environment where you are exposed more to metal particles. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

Isnt Damasteel comparable to CPM154? So you're saying there's not much of a difference between 9CR damascus (which is what Civivi uses in all of their damascus knives) and essentially CPM154? I never would've guessed they'd be that close to one another. I will say this however, the damascus on this winter prototype def looks better than Civivi's damascus!

Just one small thing. The detent magnet was already removable for the B2 run.

People calling this a gimmick knife are ignorant to it. I use this knife often and it slices through cardboard, tape, zip ties and came sharp enough to shave my entire chest. I have a 2yr old daughter who basically gets presents for just waking up in the morning and this thing destroys toy packaging and that’s no joke.

I got the B2 and is it normal that the 2 magnets that act as a detent separate when the blade is closed? Like, the magnet on top catches and rests on the blade. I've dis- and reassembled it and I'm not sure if it's right.

Also, I'm worried that it'll damage the edge once it's been sharpenened enough times.

I've seen that you can use the other 2 spare magnets and glue them together for a stronger detent. Maybe I'll do that when it starts to fail/ruin the edge.

B1 has glue in bearings. B2 weren't glued in and it came with stronger magnets.
