Owned an RS6 C7.5 performance great car was only until I drove an m5 comp did I realise what I was missing. Now looking for an M5 CS

The question that no petrolhead ever wants to sensibly discuss, just when do we hit too much power for the public roads?

Drivers of premium German brands have never had the best reputation for sensible, respectful driving and even my 375BHP A45 feels bonkers enough for public roads.

Giving your typical Audi driver over 600 nags, well, is that really a good idea?

Big figures are great for marketing alongside the popular PCP finance option but maybe we’d be better striving for lighter, more efficient cars that provide entertainment instead of “ballistic” performance.

A6 is definitely more practical but just dont see it being better looking than the A7….. the back of the A7 and silhouette are stunning!

The RS Suspension (or DRC) is also hydraulically cross-linked - you can really feel the difference vs traditional coils. Crazy turn-in and body control. I somehow even preferred its handling and steering over the R8...

I wish they made these exact wheels in 21". Love the design and low weight, but just too big. And the 21" wheel option looks no good IMO.

Looks like a Rover SD1….once you see it you can’t unsee it.

23 inch wheels now, bloody hell where does it end. They would have been considered big on an X5 a few years ago

hey joe wanted to ask for your opinion on the Audi rs7 carbon vorprung hanging gas pedal vs the BMW m5 comp floor mounted gas pedal which would be best in regards to comfort in long distance driving.

I have the c7.5 and your issue about elbow rest could be solved by lifting the trap door over the centre storage unit. If you do it correctly, you can lock it in position much higher and its height is adjustable. Get well soon.

Always wanted to like the R5 and R7, look great sound great and I am their target buyer group but when I drive them, something is missing. Its intangible - a finesse or adjustability missing. but lacking a degree of emotional involvement, but deeply impressive cars. I remain an M4 / 911 guy

Maan compare to BMW I think Audi has been killing it in the styling department for quite a few generations now, internally as well as external, the way they sound too, I have to get used to seeing BMWs these days before I’m no longer shocked by the way they look, lol, or when you star modding them, they do respond well to modding, maybe that’s BMW’s goal for the enthusiast! 😊

This car is absolutely fantastic if you wanted a daily family sports sedan. The only reservation of course is long term reliability.

M5 Comp is in a diff league in terms of outright pace and handling on a twisty road. Ive driven both and its night and day compared to Rs7

You have the option in most markets to choose between the Pirelli, Hankook and Cont SC 7 at no extra cost, so if you prefer the softer Conti(with shorter lifetime) it's just a checkbox.

That level of blue in that car is horrendous. Blue callipers, is this need for speed? Blue stitching everywhere, blue seatbelts, blue on the dash etc, I think I’d be sick 😂
Pirelli are utter abysmal. I’ve never come across a decent one on any car. The only reason they still exist is probably because of commercial sponsorships and manufacturer deals. Michelin PS all the way everyday.
Other than that, nice car for the super wealthy to waft about in.
