Alexander was actually pretty good at being a statesman. He put down rebellions in the Greek states and vassal states when he first took the monarchy. He also placated his own nobles who may side with his step-brother. He was also incredibly efficient just before he died and after his March.

Calling Alexander "Great" is deserved. People forget he was 20 years old when he did his most impressive feats and 30-some when he died. His status in society is well beyond what "the situation" and "Kim Kardashian" have ever achieved, and his legacy is way more important to people's everyday lives.

This is a great series and this is one of the best video of the bunch. I keep returning to it to catch little details I may have missed. Thanks for posting these and making them easy to watch.
