ОтветитьThank You for sharing your knowledge, Great Video. I hit the bell !!! I’m not a tech , mechanic, Etc . Was getting frustrated a year ago with a P0304 code . Spent way too much money , having my vehicle diagnosed . Decided to try to educate myself and find out what causing misfire . I believe in paying for a diagnostic tests , but when you find out wasn’t test driven , cleared codes , freeze frame data ETC $1200 bucks later engine light flashing after 2 drive cycles (Ford) ! Misfire gone for 8 months , fuel trims , MAF , EGR , Etc all working as they should again . I continue to learn as much as possible, my new hobby . Love when my husband, kids , ask me any question about their vehicles . Thanks for sharing a fantastic, informative, show ! Watched twice !!!! 😊 thanks from 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьOn the global side of OBD2 are the fuel trims live data? I didn’t think they were actual readings but come from fuel mapping programmed from the factory in the computer?
ОтветитьOf course we are interested on long, informational and professionally presented like yours. I have been doing this type of job for awhile now and I can honestly say that in the few videos I have watched on your channel is very easy to tell you are dedicated to this trade(profession) and I really appreciate all the classes you put out there for us to watch.
ОтветитьI'm a DIY. I just learned a LOT. Thanks. And I hit the bell 😂
ОтветитьThanks John. As a professional tech I learn a lot from this video. There's power in sharing.
ОтветитьThanks you for the knowledge you gave to us bro
ОтветитьDang bro, I taught my youngest about OBD2 in less time.
All I see is you talking about your program that costs money each month to tell you whats wrong.
Any decent scan tool will do that.
If you dont know what you are looking at or what the tolerances are, that scan tool will be speaking greek.
Thank You John, excellent video's, please keep them coming
ОтветитьThanks for the excellent information,
Louis. Cape Town

ОтветитьComprehensive overview ! Incredibly clear descriptions !! Seriously !!! Thanks mate 👊🏼🔥 .
ОтветитьAs a DIYer this is exactly what I've been looking for to gain a fundamental understanding of how OBD2 is built, how it operates and therefore how to interpret it's data on a wider view.
Very well presented. Thanks very much. Instant subscriber.
Great content like the global obd explanation
ОтветитьThis is probably the most comprehensive video. I’ve seen on OBD two systems can’t thank you enough for the presentation.
Ответитьamazing im a retired master tech, but still need to go to class.thanks

Ответить👍👍👍 From Sweden
ОтветитьGood Stuff! Great Channel! L & S
ОтветитьGreat job. Took a bunch of notes. I watched all 3 videos in one day. Would love to see some real world testing on cars that have a drivability issues. If possible in your upcoming video on fuel systems, would love to see a way to trouble shoot restricted injectors, with a scope, amp clamp, scanner , etc. Something that doesn't require pulling the rail and firing the injectors. Just got my but kicked on a Prius . My guess was right, I knew it was a fuel delivery issue. Eliminated fuel pressure- lean across the board but only misfired and ran poorly at idle. Lean codes in general when its not a vacuum leak and fuel pressure is good and load sensor is good. BTW- I do remember block learn and integrator from back in the day. Thanks again, keep em coming
ОтветитьGreat job john

ОтветитьYour channel is my new favorite as a self taught mechanic. Plenty of depth and background explained but not overly complicated explanations. Thanks! The AI chat bot was a trip playing with it the other day!
ОтветитьOf course there's interest. Thank you so much for sharing all that you've learned over the years with ud all. It's very much appreciated.
I just can't wait for the next episodes and especially the one on decoding CAN.
Keep up the excellent work, it is awesome as it is.
Thank you for sharing this information! Very helpful for those of us who want to learn! Can’t wait for the CAN system video!
ОтветитьElectron John should have thousands of views. This goes to show you the mentality of the DIY'ers and a few legit professional techs. They don't want to learn and gain understanding but instead they just want to know how to fix an issue with zero understanding of how the component or system works. What's wrong with this mentality? It's further encouraging parts replacement with a good chance that the problem is not fixed. Other words, loading the parts cannon and crossing your fingers. John, I would like to THANK YOU for what you share and teach. You're top notch in my book sir. You make complex concepts easier to understand.
ОтветитьThis series is just brilliant, thanks for sharing John.
ОтветитьI love all the tips and tricks of knowledge
ОтветитьI'll be waiting patiently for the 5 gas video!
ОтветитьThanks for this educational video as always. You are on mission to really better the automotive industry.
