This series has nothing on GOT I have no rapport with the characters / cast so far GOT casting was a brain wave everyone suited their parts there is no atmosphere with this series , I don’t think I will last the other seasons it hasn’t caught my attention so far in fact there is irritation wanting it to get to the end so I can move on 🤷‍♀️

Like GoT before it, the casting for HotD was brilliant. The downside is that every time characters are brutally killed off (or there is a time jump), you miss the actors more.

It is truly fascinating how empathetic a character can be made no matter how vile they are. For example I’m sure Daemon isn’t as loved by the peasants as he is by the fans. It blows my mind how good authors can have you cheering on and supporting incestous relations, racial supremacy, elitism, and cold blooded murder.
