The ACC is DOA. Every team that wants a competitive program needs to run for the exits. The programs that want to keep this zombie conference alive only re-enforce their parasite status.
ОтветитьThat guy Kenton sure is a shill for the ACC..and clueless regarding facts. Massive shock waves? If you want to leave SEC/Big10 they will show you the door...leave Big12 or ACC? Where ya gonna go? To the other conference? Why? So funny that NC feels so superior when they get terrible football ratings, have an apathetic fan base for football and actual team they put out is mid to bad every year...I mean they haven't won the conference in 45 years or so...what a joke. This podcast is full of homer takes. Pass going forward. Maybe Kenton just knows NCastate is cooked (which is actually a shame since they are one of the lesser leaches compared to the rest of the ACC off of FSU/Clemson)..
ОтветитьI do not know how the South Carolina Law works. But, I know The 2nd Judicial Circuit across from the Capital of Florida gave his 120 mediation, early inserting a mediator, allowing amends & responses to continue. But, either a settlement is reached or the trial begins immediately & every single word in the ACC/ESPN document becomes public record. That 2nd Judicial Circuit includes some unique power, the case will last weeks with a judgement & goes straight to the Florida Supreme Court who will not waste time either. The fat lady is warming up.
ОтветитьSo this is a Miami homer and UNC homer. Now I understand them wanting FSU and Clemson leaving. That is the only way that either team will get in the ACC championship much less the cfp
ОтветитьLawyering up and not pulling the trigger is worthless.😂😂😂
Sidebar: I said it in January and will say again. UNC is about to get screwed by the state of North Carolina.
Collusion? Proof Gentlemen. Especially when court records and laws schools are available.😂
No matter how bad the contracts are…and how embarrassing and all the angst is disclosed…….being able to get out with TV rights…is still all up to ESPN…they have the money…….get it…they are the source of your survival….your ability to get out….gives you what? Ability to walk away from the existing contract and renegotiate on your own ? With who? With the SEC/B10 which are tied to media contracts already….and if you piss ESPN off….that won’t help you with anybody! Especially the SEC that is in control of their own future . Settlement is the only solution….or shut up and wait your time. Making lawyers rich is all I see on the horizon. This may be ..all to do about nothing….with 12 or so of the ACC programs holding the bag! When are they going to have a ‘minority opinion ‘ or chip in the game…..and not trust the lead programs…or the current ACC leadership…with mixed loyalties for sure…..who is representing who??
ОтветитьWhat happens if the SEC and big 10 do not want either team?
Ответитьlol why not have the same energy for UNC as you did for FSU Keaton you had a big problem with FSU smh
ОтветитьSounds like ESPN will drop the ACC media deal. I think it will be cheap for schools to get out in 27, or 28.
Ответить😂😂😂 IRONCLAD 😂😂😂
ОтветитьHow bout using terms like “compare notes” vs “collusion” or “cheating”. Your analysis of these cases is so slanted and leans heavily against what Clemson and FSU are trying to do. Just irresponsible reporting guys..
ОтветитьFSU/CU can’t be legally “stuck” until 2036 and the ACC admitted it in court. There must be a buy out for both association and tv rights. The trouble for the ACC is that even if they “win” on the contract language, they have to show that 500-700MM is the actual damage suffered if any team leaves (because they can’t penalize any team above another). So they have to show that’s the same damage done if Wake Forrest leaves tomorrow.
ОтветитьSo when UNC does it, they are doing what's best. When FSU does it, they are crybabies LOL.
The FSU hate is real lol
Kenton, who cares if this is a problem for the SEC as well.. no one wants to leave the SEC. It’s just the ACC that wants to handcuff their members
ОтветитьKenton hating on the FSU all along UNC was scheming to leave. The irony 🤣
ОтветитьDonni... the B10 doesn't have a buyout. The SECs buyout is approx 60M
ОтветитьYou're crazy if you think the acc is excited as Clemson has all of the contracts and found a weakness. If anything the acc wants this to go as long as possible to keep these teams hostage.
ОтветитьI just want to point out that UNC can’t file suit without the BOGs approval. Easier said than done.
ОтветитьNo one, I mean nobody getting out the acc without pay. If they could fs would have been gone. There is no way out except paying your way out.
ОтветитьKenton ,UNC 4- LSU 3 in 10 innings go Heels
ОтветитьFSU had their chance to be in the SEC years ago but Bobby Bowen wanted the easiest road to a championship
ОтветитьThe rest of the ACC and many college football fans throughout the nation call FSU the whiners and criers.
And yet every time I turn on this channel and try to watch and listen that's exactly what I hear from these two guys.
I'm done. These guys are trash just like this conference.
The ACC is a “Walking Dead” Zombie Conference. That is becoming apparent to everyone except Jim Phillips ( who wants to fight “Tooth & Nail”) and the bottom feeders like BC & WF. Maybe the ACC can stall past August so Clemson & Florida St have to remain in the ACC for the 2026 season, but 02/01/25 is < 7 months away and let’s see if ESPN remains with the ACC under the same terms until 2037? I bet the answer is no. Why? ESPN has had 3 years to extend and for whatever reason has not.
ОтветитьKenton is right if a GOR is broken it's open season everywhere. For example a Utah could leave the big-12 for the B1G overnight for free. B1G-SEC teams could leave FOX ESPN to go to far richer tech companies lucrative streaming deals like Apple, Amazon & Netflix.
Why are conferences and Media Organizations encouraging other schools to break contracts yet want to "censor " the same contracts from the Florida Attorney General ?
Kind of goofy right?
The UNC thing is a Nothing Burger. They have taken no action. Due diligence is always due for diligence. Obviously certain parties will get excited at the thought.
I personally think everyone on all sides of this should hope Clemson’s most recent motion for summary judgment is granted. It has the potential to end all this nonsense so much quicker and save money for all sides and taxpayers. If the judge agrees with clemson’s interpretation, game over. If the judge doesn’t agree with Clemson, game over anyway. We find out who is right and can move on one way or another. The ACC should want this too if they believe or know that they are right.
ОтветитьAfter hearing this episode, it makes me feel like I could sue an employer bc I think I someone was paid more than me, based on white privilege. With me being FSU/Clemson and the white privileged person being Vanderbilt
ОтветитьAll this hating on FSU and UNC was ready to blow it up long time ago
ОтветитьThere are differences between the schools and conferences contracts.
ОтветитьUmmm when will the Football of the 17 Teams get discussed like Offense, Defense, Special Teams, Coaching
ОтветитьUNC is on their way out. ACC is done
Ответить
