‘The Great Travel Hack’ is an integrated digital-first campaign created and developed by J Walter Thompson London, targeting a younger audience interested in travel and what the future of transport holds. The five part content series follows two teams as they battle it out on an journey from Los Angeles to New York City. Instead of trying to finish the fastest to win, the teams had to travel coast-to-cast with the lowest CO2 emissions. The teams were aided by a team of Shell scientists and Shell eco-marathon students. ‘The Great Travel Hack’ hopes to show the world how people can hit the road, have fun, meet new people – or do business – but sharply reduce their carbon footprints.
